Great ideas ladies, although a cruise is not my top choice after all the bad press is the news lately. I was reminiscing to my younger days backpacking through Europe and thought about how much fun walking everywhere was. Maybe I need another trip like that? Anyone else want to go!?

Come and visit Anna and I in the UK

OMG, trust me, I've thought about it! I miss London and would love to meet you!! My passport expired not long ago, so getting it renewed might be the only hold up. I should look into that today.

You know you're always welcome :flowerforyou:

London is full of cool people, definitely the best stop (and yes, that includes me  *brag*).

They have some cool singles cruises around. I haven't looked into any since I'm broke, but I hear they're pretty fun.

I concur. I actually never been to Vegas aside from hanging out at the airport for a layover.

I've never been to Vegas either... could be some serious fun with y'all!

What if we planned 4-5 months out so people could make arrangements?

That sounds like a lot of fun. Would you guys mind if someone who disappeared for a few months and just came back planned to join? :P

Atleast 4-5 months out, I am going to Mexico in 3 weeks, gotta save some more $$$
Also gives us all time to throw around dates, ideas, etc.

Kits, I am SURE there are pet friendly hotels in Vegas.. I am pretty sure on 'Little People' on TLC they went to a dog convention in a Vegas strip hotel lol

Kits, I went on Orbitz. They have a feature to choose pet friendly hotels. There are several just off the strip or near downtown. You aren't going to be able to stay at any of the finer places. A lot of them I wouldn't recommend. I saw one that I would suggest a bench under an overpass before staying there but there were a few safe, respectable places very close to the action.

My perfect vacation is always the beach-don't care which one, as long as there is salt water and sand!! :)

A beach vacation could be nice... I was planning one for the kids and I before all this sequestration mess hit. Now we'll be heading out to my mom's. Yay.

We were originally going to the Outer Banks, NC. But, there was a cute cottage in Hilton Head, SC that had great rates for the week...the only reason I was hesitant was that it looked like something better suited for a kid-free vacation. I could see myself relaxing here all week. :

I live in Hilton Head. It's beautiful. It is great for young couples with young kids- the beach is nice and the surf is small. It's also great for older couples and older people.

For younger people who want to party- they do have some nice bars, but if you are looking for more activties, Myrtle Beach or Daytona may be better.

For me- It's quiet, relaxing and a great place. I don't party. Savannah is a 45 minute drive or so and Charleston is an hour and half away.
