Beginner Yogi - What does the color purple mean?

I've done Hot Yoga and recently I've found some videos on You Tube to practice Yoga at home. At the end of a 30 minute beginner yoga session the instructor has us meditating (which I'm also new too). It was very relaxing. As I continued to meditate after the video ended I began to see waves of purple (and my eyes were closed). I continued for a few minutes more and I just kept seeing waives of purple. I'm not concerned but I wonder if anyone else has experience this and what does it represent or mean?:flowerforyou:

    purple is the colour of the crown chakra, which is the seat of higher consciousness. my understanding: seeing waves of colour during meditation is a good thing -- it is a sign of your third eye opening.

    exactly. purple is the crown chakra - the BIG I, the undefined divine, the Absolute, the merging of self with higher energy.
    yes, the third eye opening!
