MFP versus Weight watchers

I have noticed people making a big stink over Weight Watchers versus MFP lately and I have found that MFP and weight Watchers are the same essentially. In Weight Watchers they give you a minimum amount of calories to eat and give you the choice to eat back your exercise calories and so does MFP.

Well to me this question depends on what weight watchers program you are talking about.

Points Plus is great for those with a higher metabolism. Taller folks, skinnier people, less to lose crowds tend to have more difficulty losing weight on points plus but Momentum points still works for those in these situations.

Either way the main concept is points. I find points effective in helping me decide what to eat. What would be too much calories invested in one food vs the other. It also helps me more in regards to eating out. Points give me a sense of ...."is this food really worth it? because I'll be spending x points on it and I think I'd rather save that for something else I really want later on". I don't do that kind of reasoning with calories. Counting calories I'm more like, "wooo hoooo, I still have x calories I can eat....what should I eat now?" I don't know. The whole mentality "game" is totally different when I'm counting points vs calories.
