Finished week 1...never thought I could!

I'm VERY overweight. I started this program at 240lbs and that's AFTER losing 23lbs. I don't go fast by any means and it's hard but I did it. I finished week 1 for the second time...this time running outside. It's been cold and hard on my shins but I'm learning how to pace myself better, I've got new shoes and some stretches to work on and I'M DOING IT! Week 2 is just around the corner and I'm a little nervous! Not as nervous as I am for what week 3 has in store though!

Way to go!! If you look around the topics, you will see sometimes a "week" of the program may take multiple weeks to master and that's okay. Just keep at it. The great thing about the program is that it does get harder, but progresses so you can prepare yourself. Keep it up!

Thanks! I'm toying with the idea of signing up for a 5k in May but I want to see how I progress over the next few weeks first and if I don't feel ready, I'll sign up for one in July :)

WTG!! I'm on my 3rd try for the C25K and it took me 3 weeks to actually complete W1. Its a great feeling of accomplishemnt when you finish a week.

Great job, Cindy and Niki!!! The one key thing to finishing the program is to run as slowly as possible, especially in the beginning. Try to run as slowly as you walk.
