It Worked!!

My BMF just came this week. I've been logging on MFP for a few weeks and dropped pounds the first week, but then stopped. This has been typical for me and very frustrating. According to the numbers I should have been losing. This is what prompted me to buy the BMF in the first place. I got it set up without much problem (after waiting what seemed like a lifetime for it to charge) and started using it immediately. Thought I would weigh this morning on a whim and I've lost 1.6 pounds! Each day I am showing a deficit of nearly between 1011 and 863 calories. (I do realize that is a bit too much of a deficit, but I'm heading in the right direction, each day my deficit is a little less.) I want to shoot for between 500 and 750 per day deficit to lose between 1 and 1.5 pounds a week. Anyway, I am thrilled to have this tool that has helped me to stop trying to guess if I am eating the right amount. I like MFP, but found that on my heavy exercise days that I was probably eating way too much to satisfy the goal set out for me. That was allowing me to maintain my weight, but I need to lose.

I agree. I'm amazed at how accurate it is. If I stay with a 500 calorie deficit for a day, the following day I'm .2 pounds less. It's been 1 pound per week. The best thing is that I can clearly see that on more active days I can eat a bit more. I love it.0
