Hey, Could you add me into this challenge : )

Not sure if you need any stats other than my weight which is 64 kgs or 141 pounds.

I have just restarted low carb, I lost a fair bit of weight on it last year, managed to keep most of it off and went onto a more paleo form of eating, but Ive found a lot of fruits / veggies irritate my stomach (FODMAPS sensitivity), so im keen to get back onto what works for me and shift the last few pounds :)

Down 1.16%! Slow as a snail, but I'll take the loss!
  • Well done triplemom!
  • Weighed in this morning at 299.6. That's another 4.6 down from last week, and a total of 13.6 lost since beginning 2 weeks ago. It also means that I've passed my first 2 weeks of induction (I'll probably keep my carb count the same, but now I can add some nuts into the mix, and since I'm mostly nuts anyway, I'm happy about that) :-).

Now, let's see if I can operate this complicated, higher-math formula to figure out my percentage: I'm figuring 4.35, but it's probably wrong

    Have an awesome day, all!

    Peace,
    Tom
  • Using my end of week for last week:

Starting weight (4 weeks, 1 day ago) - 188 lbs
    Ending weight (Sunday, 3/24) - 185 lbs
    Starting Body Fat % - 24.43%
    Ending Body Fat % - 23.68%

    Percent change (weight) - .1.6%
    Percent change (BF) - 3.07%

I'm still in the whole thing, but I only weigh, etc. once every four weeks. :-)
  • Fantastic job Tom! You are doing an amazing job. I can't wait to see your results from next week.

Bravo to a great month Eric! The decrease on body fat is really inspiring.

I have been maintaining. That has not been my goal, but what results when not compliant. I am tweaking my foods/carb intake for the this coming month. This will give me more variety in food choices which I hope will help me feel satisfied and not deprived. That's the beauty of this, finding what works now that will last a lifetime.

I've been maintaining too, which I am none too happy about! I can't believe I didn't lose anything... (says the girl who stuffed her face with her husband's choice for his birthday.... DAIRY QUEEN! ughhhhh!!! so mad now about it.. I got right back on the wagon on Friday, but I think it really affected my lack of progress)...
  • Hi! I need a volunteer. I will be away and won't be able to start the weekly threads for weeks 6 and 7. All that needs to happen is on 3/31 and 4/7 post that thread by simply copying the initial post of previous weeks. If you want to update % as they come in, great, if not no worries.

Please let me know if you will do it.

    Thanks!

Hi! I have had no response to my request for help. I am out of town staring in a few hours so this will be my last check in until 4/8. Hopefully someone can just start a new thread each week.

    Wishing everyone MUCH success!!!

Not as good of a week as I wanted. But, on the flip side I've discovered 2 foods my body doesn't like. :grumble:

Is it too late to join this challenge? I see on the topic line you're in week 5. I started a lil challenge for myself about 4 weeks ago. I don't have a set goal for this one but I'm just trying to lose as much weight as I can by my birthday, which is May 30th. Lemme know if I can still join :)

Blessedwith3 is on vacation for a couple of weeks, but she said you can join the challenge at any time. Just message her your starting weight and current weight and she will pop it on her spreadsheet.
  • Weighed in at 298 this morning. That's1.6 lbs down from last week, I believe that moves my numbers up to 4.85 (assuming I'm doing the math right--never a safe assumption  )

Slowed down a bit this week. Partly due to the natural slowdown, and partly because of the vacation to Solvang and Easter Sunday (family party, y'know), which contributed to a few days of really sloppy eating. This week is a "normal" week, so my eating should be cleaner. We'll see what a difference it makes to my numbers!

    Peace,
    Tom

I'm attempting to fill in for Blessed3 while she is out.. You can definitely start anytime! You can message her with your starting and current weights.. and then just let me know your percentage, unless you want me to figure it out for you.. :)
