Focus and New motives

Hello. My current Body Fat is 26.82, which is "acceptable". I'm still wanting to lose 25-30 lbs and I'm not sure if that's realistic. I don't really understand Body Fat and all. I'm proud of my accomplishes the past 2 1/2 years, but still need to reach my ultimate goal of a normal BMI. I'm overweight now and can't stay focused. I need a new way of looking at things and would love people's input and help understanding Body Fat, ect.

I'm 5'7 or 5'8....currently 179 and want to be 150 or 155. I was a size 18 and now a size 10-12. I'm 39 and I work out 6 days a week. I was burning 400-500 calories a day, but now with strength training mostly its more like 200-350 in 60-90 min. Not understanding why it takes so long to burn the same amount of calories too when weight training, ect. I cannot afford to go to a "gym" or purchase huge weight equipment, so I use the free weights, or kettle bells. I have 3-10lb for free weights and 10 and 15 for Kettle. (Not trying to be "cheap", I have a son with Type 1 Diabetes and it is a lot of expense for us monthly and feel horrible putting the money into myself when my son will always come first).

If someone could give me insight to help me on the right path...I'd appreciate it. At times, I feel like I'm starting the day wonderfully and my struggle is at dinner and night time snack. Find myself hungrier than normal at times. I eat 2000 calories a day and don't eat the exercise calories back cause I believe my BMR is around 1600 and account for the workout in the 2000.

Thanks for the help all! I appreciate it! :)

What has your weight done in the past month and how long have you been eating at 2000 calories/day?
Have you reduced your calorie intake since going from a size 18 to a size 10-12 and what was your total change in weight in that time frame? (How much did you lose going from an 18 to a 12)?
