It's not quite as good as it used to be in my opinion, but it's kind of a big thing up here in Michigan and elsewhere too. To me it's the true sign of Spring. Screw the temperature, flowers, and that stupid ground hog... The release of the new years batch of Oberon is the true first day of Spring. ;-)

    While I'm not a huge fan of Oberon, a few places around me (will) have it on tap as their best craft beer option, sandwiched in between 25 shades of Miller so I'll end up having a pint or two this spring. Speaking of spring, anytime now would be good. I've been rehabbing a herniated disc all winter and I really want to get back on the disc golf course. Perhaps this upcoming weekend as we're suppose to be in the mid 40's here.

    On both subjects... Oberon is not what it used to be and I actually like Arcadia's Whitsun a little bit more, but Oberon is like the ground hog around here. It's the signal that Spring has arrived.

    And, agreed! I am so done with Winter. We are supposed to get high 40's maybe even 50 by Friday / Saturday of this week. And as you are in a Great lakes state, you know what that means... "Shorts and Sweatshirts!" I can't wait! It's going to feel like a heat wave, and everyone will be out of their houses walking, running, biking, etc... Just soaking up any and all sun.

    50 in the Mid-West is like 70 in Florida. :-)

    We had a great oberon day here in SC! (I sell it). Haven't tried this year's batch yet. Hope it's good!
