Anyone get this? It was confirmed by my obgyn that I am in perimenopause. But he never told me about phantom periods. I had in the past missed now and then for a month or 2 in a row and then would get it again. But now I get up to 3 weeks of cramping, bloating, body aches etc. as If i'm getting my period but no flow. It lasts much longer than if I would just get it. I even exercise more during this time which does help but within minutes of stopping I feel miserable again. Its hard to sleep with all the cramping going on. All I want to do is sleep. Besides exercising and taking motrin IB does anyone have any suggestions on how to get through this extra long torture?

    ALL.THE.TIME.

I recently went 60ish days without a period, but like clockwork, at day 24 I got cramps, bloating, boob pain, crankiness....cravings... then no period for another month.

This time again, at day 24: full blown PMS including weight gain. It was gone at day 27, except for the ovary pain, and crankiness. I'm now at day 30.
I'm figuring I'll see a period again in a month or so.

I just started experiencing this! I never had cramps in my life and last week I experienced them for the first time and no flow!

Thanks for posting this, it's nice to know that I am not alone.

I'm getting the ovary pain as well. This is day 40 for me now with no show. Still cramping etc. I'm finding that I'm also extremely tired by 7pm and in bed by 8 and having a hard time waking up in the morning. I'm usually the first one up at 6am but lately my husband has to wake me up. No real cravings to speak of but hungry all the time no matter how much I eat. So I'm trying to just drink water instead of reaching for the snacks. I did go over my calories yesterday by about 200 but got on my stationary bike for half an hour and did a lot of laundry. In my house doing laundry is a big chore. Up and down all of these stairs with heavy baskets is a work out in itself.

I've gone for long as six months with no period, but still have the mood swings and cravings.
    Yippee.
Then, when I do finally bleed, it's like a waterfall.
    Oh yeah, lots of fun.

I used to be like clockwork with my cycles.

This can be done and over with anytime now.

I've heard it can drag on for 10 years...:grumble:
My mom had a hysterectomy in her 40s and has been on HRT for decades.
My older sister is on the pill which artificially delays mental pause.
So I have no female family member to ask what it was like for them.
