Sedentary desk-type job...does this change my numbers?

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, but here goes. I just started working full-time (sedentary) today. Previously i was a stay at home mom chasing after a four year old and a two year old. My TDEE is 2170 and my 15% cut value is somewhere between 1850-1900. Now that I have started sitting for 8 hours per day, does that change my numbers? I plan on working out the same amount but am not nearly as active as I was while at home. At home I was on my feet most of the day whereas now I am sitting.

It should.
So previously your TDEE should have been daily activity put you at Lightly Active, and then exercise just went up a level higher than it would have been normally.
But now, workout hrs applies to the correct level, so 3-5 workout hrs really is Moderately Active, not Very Active it should have been before, or at least rounded up before.0 -
So I was at moderately active prior to starting work. Now I still stay at moderately active? That means my numbers don't change then. I still plan on doing my normal routine of 3 days of elliptical and 3 days of weights/kettle bells.0

If you were moderate before, were you seeing any movement on the scale with your activity level. Was the scale going down, up, staying the same? This is going to determine what you need to do, as long as you aren't just starting to eat more food and still adjusting to eating more food.0 -
Well the scale has gone up about 2 pounds since January but I've lost in the way of inches. Not much, but still a small and gradual reduction (maybe a total of 3 inches from various spots...I can't remember off the top of my head). My arms and legs also look more defined and I have more muscle definition now than I did before. I'm not so concerned with the weight on the scale as I am with body fat and inches. Any thoughts?
I'll be at this sedentary position until the end of May and then will be working from home. I could potentially be on my feet more at that point because of juggling work AND kids. Lord help me...lol!0 -
I think in your case I would wait a couple weeks and see what happens with the scale. I'm thinking you should have been at a higher activity level before if you had 2 little ones you were running around after and taking care of the house AND working out. If things start to stall for 2-3 weeks or a noticable increase happens that isn't due to water retention then reassess at that time.0
