Nursing mother wanting to lose weight

Hi, I am a new mom of a beautiful 6 month old girl whom I love soo much. I would like to drop some weight. The first 20 lbs of baby weight came off really quick & easy but it has stopped. I have a low breast milk supply & don't want to lose any of that. Do you have any suggestions for food & exercise for my particular circumstance that will help me lose weight but, still get the nutrition needed to my little bundle of joy?

First make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids and either nursing or pumping regularly. Irregularity of pumping or nursing can affect supply as well.
I recommend lifting weights 3x a week to preserve muscle while you are losing weight.
If you have been maintaining the same weight for a few weeks, you can try a 10% calorie cut.
I would contact your local WIC and ask to speak to their lactation consultant to speak with an expert (for free) who deals with nursing 24/7 to get more info.0
