dead in the afternoon

I went back to work 3 weeks after my RNY (surgery date 1/15). It was probably a little early, but I made it. I've lost 85 lbs. since the surgery.
In the past 3 weeks, I've moved 30 miles closer to work, increasing my sleep time to 7.5 hours a night from 5 or 6. I've started doing 1 hr. or 1.5 hrs. a day on the treadmill, and I'm not sore the next day. I've been doing very well diet-wise, eating mostly fresh fruits & veggies, doing all my own cooking, getting in most of my recommended protein, etc.
Here's the problem: in the past two weeks, I'm just.. petering out in the afternoon. Around 2 or 3 PM, I start to get tired, have trouble concentrating, etc. I'm also getting headaches (yes, I'm doing the 8 glasses a day of fluids).
Does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
I think my diary is public, if you want to poke around. I'm pretty crazy about logging, so it's an accurate picture.

I can't see your diary, so I can't say for sure. Make sure you get plenty of protein, and fluids. My program recommends 60 to 70 grams of protein, but I'm a big guy, and usually get about 120 grams. And even though I was getting the 64 ounces of fluid, I started having dizziness from low blood pressure, so I increased the fluids to over 100 ounces a day, and the problem went away.0

I was exhausted the first six months after my RNY. It's pretty typical to still be tired at the 2 month mark. I was probably sleeping 9 hours a night at that point to get through the day.0

I agree with the other posts. Definitely make sure and get at least 60 g of protein daily--space it out throughout the day. Maybe a more complex carb mid afternoon may help the energy level too. Making sure you are taking the prescribed supplements is essential too. Hang in there. The energy level does improve. I commend anyone who is able to get back to work so soon after surgery!0

Thanks for the replies. This afternoon I added 1/2 an apple to my lunch, which had previously been mostly 85% protein. That seems to have helped a bit.
It's good to know that other people experienced some tiredness issues. I can up my sleep to 8 full hours a night without a problem, so I'll do that.
I'm trying to figure out how I'd fit more protein in and still stay at or under 1000 calories..0 -
About the densest protein per calorie snack I have found are the Syntrax Nectar powdered proteins. I like the fruit punch and lemonade. They are low calorie because they mix with water, so you get 24 grams of protein for only 100 calories. And it's delicious to boot.
The other dense protein per calorie foods I have found are canned tuna and lean chicken or turkey.0 -
Funny, I already use the Syntrax Vanilla Cookie Torte and Chocolate Truffle powders. They're amazing compared to the rest of the garbage I've had. I didn't know they had fruit punch or lemonaid. I will try them!
Shrimp and scallops have been my goto "real" protein foods. I've had a bit of trouble with Chicken (makes me feel queezy), and I'm not a fan of tuna (unless we're talking sushi or sashimi).0
