Over did it?

I have been feeling really good since I started my health journey. Changing my diet, started exercising (walking on the tread mill) but I think I over did it on Monday, and maybe pushed myself a bit too hard. Yesterday and today I have not been feeling well, extra achy, headaches like I haven't had in months.....really grumpy...that kind of thing.
Has this happened to any of you? If yes, how long did it last? Did you keep on with some kind of exercise? I am so scared that if I start missing I will stop and not be able to get back at it and lose all the ground I have gained. I can not let that happen! I did exercise today, but cut down on my time and lowered my speed.
Anyone have any words of wisdom or tips for me? It would be much appreciated!
