I noticed that all the posters on this board get more fat than they do protein. What are you eating that has a lot of fat but not a lot of protein. I just switched over this week to trying low carb, trying to stay under 75grams of carbs a day. SHould i go lower? i tried Atkins many years ago but felt really sick to my stomach by the 4th day, so that is why I am trying to have a few more carbs. Definitly need to know how to get more fat it sounds like though.

Most people feel terrible the first 3-4 days on a low carb diet. The 5th day is wonderland. LOL!

More fat: Fattier cuts of meat, homemade mayo, cooking in butter or lard, olive oil on salads, very dark chocolate (80%-90% cacoa), avocados, bacon, bacon and more bacon.

Do you mean a higher percentage of fat calories, or in grams? I usually eat more grams of protein than fat, but my percentage of calories from fat is more than from protein.

Depends on what your goals are, activity level, etc to determine what your macros should be. Why do you think you need more fat and/or less protein?

Sources of higher fat/less protein that I eat: nuts, avocados, olive oil, coconut oil, 85% dark chocolate, full-fat greek yogurt (the REAL kind), butter, pork rinds, BACON, fatty cuts of meat, chicken/turkey skin, almond butter, coconut butter, bacon fat (to cook in), oooh and cream cheese! Or any full-fat cheese.

If you wanna really step it up make Bulletproof Coffee with MCT oil (which is derived from coconut oil). That and limiting my meat intake to once a day has really helped me decrease protein and increase healthy fats.

All of the above. Plus find a good fat bomb recipe. It's a great snack and helps boost my fat intake (and energy) in the afternoon.
