high reps vs low reps

Being in the middle of the Lean circuit, I've been curious whether aiming for 10-12 reps is causing me to sacrifice any progress since the Push phase focuses on 6-8 reps. Then there's all of the discussion around on the forums about what actually constitues "lifting heavy" which also gets me too far into my headspace and has me second-guessing doing CLX at all.
But then I found this article today and found it really interesting. Sounds like CLX does a good job giving us a balanced program to follow.

That article does give me a little more faith in what I am doing with CLX. Thanks for sharing.0

Love that!! Thanks for sharing! I was wondering yesterday during Burn Intervals what benefit Layleigh was getting doing all those reps using 3 1b weights. This article makes a lot of sense and really validates the concept of CLX. I love it.0

I was using 4 lbs. weights and became jealous of Layleigh! Boy is that burn intervals DVD super tough. I skip the sumo burpees though and just march in place.0 -
I skip the burpees too. I can just imagine my knee going out right in the middle of it, so I just jog or something.0

I'm in Lean circuit now and since I do Burn Intervals the day after Lean 1 I've found I have to drop from 5's down to 3's on some of those because my muscles are still tired from the night before. I hate those Sumo Burpees. I just try to do 10 while they do their 20. I started off only being able to do 3 or 4.0 -
I finished Burn today with circuit 3. I felt sad when I was done because I love Burn. Hoping I love Push just as much. So I guess we continue with the same cardio DVDs during both Push and Lean? I don't mind the burpees. I can do them and keep up with the team so that's good. Tomorrow is my fav Burn it Off and Recharge. My butt is still killing me from those bowler lunges 2 days ago... ouch!!!0
