I'm addicted to TGU's recently. m pretty new to them and do them using a 12 kg bell and ohmyword, do I sweat and curse through them! Can't wait to move up in weight but I'm not stable enough on my feet yet.

The snatch is my favorite. I HATE swings, but I do a lot of them because I know they are great for me.
I do love TGUs, as well. They are probably my second favorite. I'm up to 24 kg, and I never thought I'd get there. Keep at it. I hold TGUs responsible for my overall strength gains over the past 2 years.0 -
I love the effect TGU's have long term but not keen on doing them!

Exercises: Clean & Jerk, Turkish Getups, because i feel like i still have a ton to work on with those.
Drill (or workout, i guess): Chrissy. Because i hate it. We did it last night in class, it's something we do every now and again to see how we're doing with time/fitness. Many of you likely know it, but for those who don't: it's 6 rounds. You start by doing 30 burpees/20 two-handed swings. Then burpees go down by 5, swings go up by five, so your #s look like this: 30/20, 25/25, 20/30, 15/35, 10/40, 5/45 to finish. You can take as much time as you need to rest, you can stop mid-round, etc but since it's done for time, you try not to stop too much. Like in many kettlebell things, every rep should look as identical as possible. If you start your burpees with a tuck jump (i didn't), you have to do them all that way. If you pick a 24 kg kbell (i didn't), you use it the whole time. This is one of those routines where selecting a slightly heavier or lighter kettlebell will make a big difference. I fully recognize that my time would be much higher than it was if i did a tuck jump, but my knees beg to differ. At the end, you record the time, weight used & any modifications made. That way, you know what to do next time to compare.
The last time we did it, the guy who finished with the longest time was one of the fittest guys in the club...because he did it with the red competition bell. Yikes.0 -
snatches, goblet squats and uppercuts. I'm good with those.
Turkish getups are a great warmup.0
