low body fat and superficial skin injuries odd question

So it would make sense that I would bruise more easily since I have less padding then before, but I am finding that I also get skin injuries much easier since my bf% is lower. Does your dermis become thinner as well as body fat decreases?
I look like I've been in a fight lately. My hands and knees are all torn up from minor rubbing and friction from heavy bag where I wear hand /wrist guards and 10oz gloves.
Is there anything I can do other than avoid scratches or friction that is ripping my skin? Or could this be a dietary issue?
Id post a picture of my hand but im on my mobile right now.

I've found that I am bruising very easily as well, but my body fat % is still waay high. My suspicion for myself is that possibly my iron is a bit low?
I'm interested in any answers you get for this.0 -
bumping because this is relevant to my interests.0

I also bruise easier and it takeslonger for bruises and nicks to heal up.
In to know if it is diet or bf% related...0 -

On the flipside, I hardly ever get ill now and recover quicker from colds.0 -

I'm like on week 4 with these injuries, Thumb, knuckle, ring finger. didn't bother to take a picture of my knee, but just from kneeing the bag for 30 seconds, I've got a pretty killer rug burn on the top of my left knee. My skin just seems paper thin.

Are you drinking plenty of water and using a good moisturizer every day? I'm a klutz, and always have bruises and scrapes, but notice that it gets worse when I'm not drinking enough water or when the weather is particularly dry.0

This is not something I've heard of in conjunction with low body fat. If it's really noticeable to you I suggest talking to a doctor!0

Could be dry skin and depending where you live it could be weather related. My skin is always dry in the winter from the dry air of heated buildings. And when my hands are dry they scrape up and bleed very easy. I've always had problems with bruising... but I think that is an iron deficiency.
Anyway, curious to see what other people suggest.0 -

It could be nothing or it could be something. I know that some people when they take ibuprofen will bruise more easily (specifically those with less melanin) also aspirin intake can make a difference. But since it has come on rather suddenly I would suggest seeing your doctor just to rule out any other underlying causes.0

To recap, I was looking to see if anyone else had (or knew of) a correlation between lower body fat and increased superficial skin injuries (not bruising). I did some internet searching and came up empty handed.

I have not been able to find anything specific regarding low body fat and skin abrasions. I did find recommendations regarding getting enough nutrients to help make your skin more resilient. They are:
Omega 3 fatty acids
Vitamin C
Vitamin A
Zinc
Protein
Apart from that, unfortunately I did not find anything, especially with regard to low body fat.0 -
