"Before I learned about nutrition, a carb was just a carb and protein was just protein. When I studied nutrition, a carb was no longer just a carb and protein was no longer just protein. Now I understand nutrition, and a carb is just a carb and protein is just protein."

    It was originally "Before I learned about martial arts, a punch was just a punch, and a kick was just a kick...."


    It can be applied to many, many things.



    Unfortunately, there's a lot of people taking a 'documentary', magazine/web article, conversation with a professional or even a short course to the second stage, and there they remain.
