Ok, following on from something allergic said about not losing weight when she exercised everyday...

Has anyone else completed this program with minimal rest days? And if so, what results have you seen on the scale?

I did 11/12 days out of the whole of march on the shred, a little running, elliptical and weights.
I lost 6lbs and loads of inches.

I'm thinking rest is equally as important as exercise. I will say when I exercise I do go hell for leather and am always exhausted when I'm done. A twenty minute workout has to be intense otherwise there is no point.

A few times I did 5 mins and gave up because I was totally phoning it in. I was amazed at the loss of inches and I am under my goal weight despite feeling like I had quit halfway through.

Did any other people only manage half? What are your results ?

In an ideal world I would like to exercise 5 days a week for between 30-60 mins and feel healthy and strong but real life has a habit of messing up my plans.

Hope you all reply. I'm interested to compare results.

I took one day off toward the end since I was gone. I went down a jean size and even those weren't snug at all. I should have tried the next size down but didn't want to push my luck! And I lost 5 lbs., 3 of which were in the 3 days after I finished 30 DS. And to add to my amazement, I'd been at the same weight for 8 months, up and down the same 2-3 pounds, and my main exercise had been walking the dog. I expected some loss but this was more than I thought it would be.

My next round of Jillian will include 1-2 days off a week as I think the downtime is needed for recovery. There were a couple days I probably should have skipped it as I wasn't as energetic. And on one video she mentioned taking a day or two per week off. And I want to mix it up as some suggest to create muscle confusion...plus variety will probably make me even more apt to keep it up. But I think the repetitiveness of 30 DS let me build strength, get better at the moves, and gave me the confidence that I could do it...rather than something new all the time. Guess you can teach an "old" (63 yo) dog new tricks!
