seeing the scales go up

Hi
I've been looking at the TDEE concept for a while and had decided that I would go for it as 1200 calories on non workout days is pretty miserable and I have been losing so slow. I have my calculations done for TDEE-20%. I was going to start today but I just wanted to ask something.
As it's been the Easter weekend I have eaten a bit more than normal, prob around +400 cal sat, sun and mon. Not crappy junk food or chocolate just a bit more of what I normally eat whilst others were eating treats. This would still be less than TDEE -20%. I have been weighing daily just for record. Sat morn scales said+2lbs, Sun+1lb, mon+1.5lb and today +1lb. This really upsets me, I know people will say you can't gain 5.5lbs in 3 days, but yesterday I had planned to record my weight as it had been 4 weeks since I joined MPF and I have no loss to record now as it's all appeared back with just a little more eating. So how will I lose if I eat even more? This sends me into panic mode, please help

    Hi
It is all very scary :-(
But the probable reason for weight gain is water weight brought on by eating a bit more .. Your body and metabolism is so used to eating at low calories ... Read the stickies at the top of the thread .. They explain everything x
    Don't despair .. And don't weigh daily .. I have learned that one ..!!
Your body will eventually learn that you're not trying to starve it and you'll stop gaining x but really you could do a reset and eat at TDEE for a few weeks .. You will probably gain but its coz your metabolism is shot and anything above the 1200 you've been eating will not be burned off .. But once your metabolism is mended .. By eating at TDEE for a while which is when you stop gaining weight, you can then take a cut of -10% or -15% and you will start losing ..
I'm in second week of reset .. I'm finding it scary but everyone says stick with it as its worth it in the long run x

I feel your pain!!! I am there too. I am trying to up to a TDEE-15% or so, but I know that the better solution is a full reset, so I'm working up to it as quickly as I mentally can! Do read the stickies. If you've been at 1200 more than a few weeks, a full reset is likely in order. Without it, you won't be doing much metabolic repair eating at TDEE-20%

I'm still in the middle of it, but everyone says it's worth it in the end. Stick it out :)
