I'm Jennifer. I just did my first day of couch to 5k. I struggled, but I did it!
Does anyone have a tips that might help me on this program?

1) Slow down. Run slower than you walk.
2) Be proud of yourself. Most people never complete that first day.
3) Trust the program. It may sometimes be demanding but, if you've finished the day before, you ARE ready for the next day's run.
4) Go to a run store and get fitted for shoes, if at all possible.
5) Take your rest days. Your body needs time to recover.
6) Sign up for a 5k. It gives you motivation and a great graduation present.
7) Brag about your accomplishments. You might think they're too small to mention, but WE know how difficult each milestone is to achieve. I, personally, love hearing about each person's story. It's so inspiring.

I just did day 1 of week 2. After my initial day I stopped until I was able to get a pair if running shoes(like advised). I officially started the program on April 9th. Today was hard, but I did it and am so pleased!!!
I love running and am looking forward to the day I can run for miles!

Struggling but doing it is just about right. It's actually part of what's addictive about running...you start wondering where your real limitations are and if you can push them out just a little bit further. Congratulations on completing your first week!0
