time to stop

hey guys. thanks for having this group, it has definitely been helpful. i have two weeks left, but i'm going to stop here. i aggravated a previous disc herniation on monday doing the interval circuit, and that is forcing me to take a break from working out, and i figure i might as well call it quits on this program seeing as it hasn't really been a great fit for me.

i will say that i am a LOT stronger and much fitter than when i started. in reality, even though i have complained about lack of results, there have definitely been some. my clothes fit better, much better actually, i am definitely more toned. i started doing the workouts in an empty yoga studio at the gym, with mirrors, and its amazing to see the muscle definition while im working them. in some sequences i actually look like the folks in the video! im sure if i were to follow the nutrition plan to the letter, there would be even more defined results. as it is, im happy with where i got.

i am going to take a week off and heal my back, and then i think i am going to try out a turbo fire/chalean extreme hybrid. im hoping that will be a bit more entertaining, since i found insanity to be a bit dull. im also hoping that the hybrid of actual weights/cardio will give the pounding on my back some more rest it didn't seem to handle insanity for the duration of the program.

if anyone wants to keep in touch or have a motivational buddy, please feel free to add me as a friend. my journey isn't over, just changing. i would like to come back to insanity in the future, but i gotta get my core stronger so my back's protected.

anyway, good luck to all of you in the last couple weeks!
