Grocery Store Attention

I have had a very positive and surprising by-product of switching to a whole food plant based diet.... Without fail, everytime I go to the grocery store I get questions. Sometimes the interest comes from fellow customers in the produce section (which is where I spend 99% of my time) but mainly from store employees during checkout. They'll ask questions about a particular item like what it is or how I prepare it. They also ask why I eat so many fruits and vegtables. It's an awesome opportunity to share a healthy lifestyle and I am so wonderfully surprised at the high level of interest. It is a GOOD thing!!!

We get that all the time too and love sharing it! They always seemed shocked you can eat WELL and TASTY with this lifestyle!

I had a cashier at the supermarket ask me what my butternut squash was – and when I told her she made an "ick" face. I tried to tell her it was a lot like sweet potatoes (god knows southerners like frying those up in some oil) but no dice. Her loss I guess since I could live off the stuff.
