I started my weight battle the beginning of March of this year, I was almost 320lbs. I was afraid of changing my eating habits because I'm a comfort food person, its my crutch for when I'm depressed. I'm also a picky eater so I was worried about what I could eat and what would satisfy my hunger. My health had significantly caused me problems and due to that I made the leap and I'm sure glad I did because I can do this and so can all of you.
I have lost 25lbs and am now just under 300. I can eat and feel satisfied and full but I'm picky about what I put into my body now. I make food choices that benefit me. My husband has also lost 25 pounds and is enjoying being able to eat healthy. I have a long way to go, I still need to lose around 125lbs but I believe I can with all the support I've found here.
I know how overwhelming it feels being so overweight. I'm still overwhelmed because my body cant do 1/2 of what my mind says I can do. One day I will and that day is coming closer with every passing day that I work this program. Because of it my future is brighter.

Good for you! I just started a couple of weeks ago. I haven't had any weight loss yet, but I haven't gone up either so that's good! I just tried to do my Leslie Sansone walk DVD again. I only got through the warm up 5 minutes and my hips and knee were not happy, so I skipped to the cool down part. It will be a while I think before I can do the mile walk! But I am not daunted. I am doing well at the gym, and managing the 30 min. cardio on the row machine and the bike, so as my knee improves I will keep trying the walking DVD!
That's fantastic that your husband is joining you too, I am sure it makes it much easier for both of you to stick to the plan!0
