Hi, everyone!
While going in for fertility testing last summer, it was discovered that I have hypothyroidism. I've been treating it with Levothyroxine/Synthroid ever since. I have an appointment with a new endocrinologist in mid-June to see how I'm responding to the treatment.
I've recently added a thyroid supplement ("Terry Naturally Thyroid Care") to my daily vitamin regimen.
Do any of you treat your thyroid issues with supplements? Are there some other natural remedies that you've found helpful?
I do plan on speaking with my doctor about this when I do go, but sometimes I think doctors are so quick to prescribe medications and ignore the possibility of natural healing and treatments.
Thank you!

Success with supplements varies. I haven't had much luck with them when it comes to my thyroid, but if you find it helps you, go for it. I did have some luck with magnesium for treating my migraines, but it never did anything for my fatigue. Although, sometimes I do take a probiotic, which helps with the constipation that I get as a result of being hypo...
I agree that sometimes doctors are quick to prescribe a pill and move on to the next patient. It is good for patients to find others with the same condition to compare stories of what works and what doesn't.0
