Hi guys!
I was terribly sick over the weekend. I had some sort of stomach flu or possibly even food poisoning. Anyway, without giving you all the gory details, you need to understand that I was horribly dehydrated!!!! I was so dehydrated that my feet and legs were cramping, causing my toes to painfully curl. Ouch!!! Anyway, my husband went and bought me some gatorade which I would not consume under normal circumstances, but it seemed to help the next day in helping to rehydrate me.
What do you guys recommend in situations like this? What's the best thing to drink when you need to replace electrolytes and rehydrate? Coconut water? Or juicing certain fruits and veggies? Which fruits and veggies replace electrolytes quickly?
This is also important to me, because I would like to come up with my own sports drink recipe for workouts. Any suggestions?

I really have no idea, but my guess is that coconut water is a better choice than Gatorade since there's much less sugar, but it's not going to be as high in electrolytes as Gatorade. It's usually a good source of potassium so that will help with cramping.
Or, you could just eat a banana and drink lots of water.0 -
Definitely coconut water! I believe I heard somewhere that it actually has MORE electrolytes than Gatorade. Gatorade just has this reputation that is carrying it, and kids love the sugar and chemicals that they put in it.0

Coconut water is tops, but fresh. So much canned and bottled crap sold as coconut water.

coconut water - but I'm curious as to why it has less electrolytes??

Perfect!!!! This is probably cheaper than buying coconut water. I love coconut water so I think I'll use both!0 -
