Chia seeds?

I've read mixed reviews on how paleo-"kosher" chia seeds are. Loren Cordain seems to be against, the primal guy
Sisson seems to think they're okay.

I'm probably going to eat them anyway, because Chia seed "pudding" makes me happy. But I was just curious on how others felt.

I tried Kombucha with the seeds in it -- didn't like it -- here's something that talks about not eating "bird seed" as they call it: http://www.gnolls.org/1141/eat-like-a-predator-not-like-prey-paleo-in-six-easy-steps-a-motivational-guide/

I think chia seeds are fine on Whole 30, which is paleo-based. Most of the stuff we put chia seeds in, though, are not Whole-30 approved (like granola, oatmeal, gluten free (but not grain-free) muffins, etc...

However, my husband made a tapioca-like pudding with chia seeds and coconut milk (and maybe some vanilla?), which was apparently AMAZING, but he and the kids ate it before I got home from work, lol. Need to pick up some more coconut milk so I can try it! :)
