Strength training and cardio

Ok, I have a question for all of you ladies. I sometimes will do a combo workout where I will do both cardio and strength training. Now, in the past, I had heard that it is best to do the strength training first before the cardio. I just want to make sure I am using my time wisely.
This is what I would do:
5min warmup on elliptical
~60 strength training
cardio program (either on the elliptical or a LesMills Combat video or Body Revolution cardio)

Most people would say do your cardio after so you don't tire yourself out before lifting.
My trainer believes in combination moves that are a cardio workout in themselves. 30 minutes of it is plenty!0 -
I combine cardio and strength into one high interval training session.
5 x 5 deadlifts, 5 x 5 squats, 5 x 5 push press, 5 x 5 bent over rows with a 50 pound (22.5KG) bar bell.
5 x 10 push ups, 5 x 10 crunches, 5 x 10 tricep dips.
5 x 400 metre sprints on the treadmill.
This takes around 35 minutes to do with a 30 second rest in between sets. Burns around 350 calories.0 -
umm i do 10 mins cardio before lifting for warm up., followed by 60 mins lifting, then end it again with cardio about 10 or 20 more mins, works well for me0

I usually do a bit of hiit after my strength either sprints or rowing ie, 5x 500 meters0

5 min cardio warm up
45 min weight lifting - I do one big muscle group and 1 small muscle ( big ones: back, legs, chest ), ( small ones: abs, biceps, triceps, shoulders ). About 3-4 exercises for each muscle group, 10-12 reps and 4-5 sets each. Following that 15-30 min cardio.
Wonderful results for me. Starting to look ripped!
And I also eat as an average 1800-2500 cals a day. My workout burns about 6-700 cals I do it 4 - 5 times a week.0 -
I never do cardio to warm up. I just do VERY light stretching, then warm up with light weights and progress into the heavier weights.
I also never do cardio & weights on the same day unless it's a weekend or a day when I have the time to do one early AM and the other late PM.
I don't think there's any real "rule" to any of this. For me my lifting is more important than cardio, so it's the priority and I don't want to hinder my performance by using up energy by doing cardio.0 -
I find that doing P90X before Insanity actually helps me versus the other way around. Not to say I'm not puttin forth the effort in the first work out, but I can save most of my energy for the cardio because it is intense.0

I do cardio afterwards so I'm not dead while trying to lift. Lifting is my priority, but I know that I still need the cardio a few days a week.
I'll lift for 45~ish minutes and then do 20 minutes of HIIT on the treadmill. I usually feel like a pile of sweaty jello when I'm done with HIIT, so I'd rather not try to lift after that.
Edit to add- my warm-ups are a couple sets of ligther lifts for each muscle group I'll be working that day. When I'm done lifting, I'll do a few minutes of fast walking on the treadmill to warm up for cardio.
IMO, it's personal preference which you want to do first. I just know that after cardio I do NOT feel like lifting, so I lift first.0
