Can't seem to cut

Hi there,
I recently (within the last month) started with Heybales spreadsheet to figure out my TDEE and how much to cut to lose 15-20lbs. I'm in a friend's wedding at the end of the summer and I'd like to tone up by then.
However, I'm also a college student and I've been trying to "start" a cut ever since January and it honestly just hasn't happened. It seems every time I get a good 3-4 days of cutting (1600) I completely reverse it by two or three days of eating at more like 2400. My TDEE is 2050. It seems tied to stress eating (and sugar binges...eek!). So I'm not sure what to do at this point...1600 is a good amount of calories, but I still keep going so far over! Should I try cutting out sugar or something to avoid racking up empty calories?

If you feel the need to binge your cut is too severe. My TDEE is somewhere around 2200 and my current cut is 2000 calories. I am losing about a half pound a week, but I don't feel a need to binge, gaining tons of strength in the gym and losing inches.0

Thanks! I'm going to try a smaller cut at 1750-1800 for a few weeks and see how that works out.0
