Suggested Macros for JMBR

I'm about half way through JMBR (and love it, by the way), but I'm beginning to wonder if my macros are set correctly. I don't follow her diet plan, but just count calories on my own. I was using the MFP suggested 50/25/25 macros, but with all this strength training and HIIT, should I be eating more protein? I'm not interested in a low carb diet, but maybe less carbs? What are your macros set at?

Alright, I got impatient and Googled it :)

Apparently I'm a bad little Jillian Michaels student because I had never heard of her oxidizer test or what it meant. I took the test and it shows I'm a balanced oxidizer and should be doing 40/30/30 so I updated MFP. Hopefully this helps anyone else who runs across this question!

    Very interesting information. I found out I am a high oxidizer-20c, 50p, 30f.

I figured out my TDEE and my macros from a spreadsheet available on MFP and it said I should eat 10c, 50p, 40f-although I think it will be near impossible to eat that way long term. Jillian's way is a little more appealing to me-although interesting both indicated a strong need for protein. (I always feel so much better when I eat meat!)

How have you done on the program without having your macros figured out so far? I would like to know if you think it helps with the rest of your progress.

    TFS!

Whoa, those MFP settings seem intense. I don't even know how I could only eat 10% carbs! I'm trying to figure out how to get it down to 40%! Do you have the link to that spreadsheet? I'd be curious to see how different my numbers would be.

My progress so far has been OK. I haven't lost that much weight, but luckily I took pictures and I can see a difference in my body. About 4 weeks in, I got frustrated because I kept losing and gaining the same 3 pounds and found out I wasn't eating enough. I was only doing 1200-1300 calories without eating back exercise calories. Then I learned all about TDEE and have slowly upped my calories to 1500-1600 over the past couple of weeks.

I suppose that's why I'm now interested in macros. I'm working so hard and am really enjoying watching my body change, but I want to make sure I'm feeding it properly too. I'll definitely update after giving these new macros settings a couple of weeks.
