So getting lesson from last challenge to keep us motiated we have begun our 20 week challenge(counting this 0 week).
And i still need your captain
For many of us, this is a clean slate of getting back on track! For the WEEK O challenge, I thought we might take it BACK TO BASICS! Let's take this week to focus on drinking water and cooking ! I know that this is not the easiest thing for all of us to do .

We need to trying to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day! During my workout I drink usually just one since I usually run first thing in the morning! Plus I drink water with every meal! When I first started MFP almost 2 years ago! I hated water! Just take baby steps, if I can anybody can!0

Hello green team colleagues!
Sun is shining - it's been a while since we have seen it! And I've walked 4 miles, washed the dog and hope to get on the elliptical later for at least 20 minutes! Enthusiastic - yes! Lets hope it lasts!
Water consumption target hopefully not a problem today as it is actually hot here!0 -

Captains please check in here next Saturday - Sunday and let us know how your team done with the water intake. Give us tips on how to get all the water in on a daily basics!!! Let's do this together!!!! Best team will get 2 lbs adantage next week (in week1!!!) !!!

Also, I will be doing Cooking Challenge for week 0. It will run from today april 13th - april 20th . I need the pictures and recepie of 1 dish you were cooking this week for yourself . I will be judging on healthiness, calorie amount and presentation . It can be idea for lunch (pack lunch) , dinner , breakfast or even Snack!!!

I can say that I have an advantage in the water category because I always and only drink it... However lately the food is out of control.. .so hopefully I will be able to manage it... today was a bit rough.. however an eye opener... I'm pumped to be doing this.. and I cant wait to lose weight!! I will say that the workouts are difficult for me considering my disadvantage in time, and 3 kids, and work, school, and student teaching... I honestly don't have time do anything... oh and I live in the middle of nowhere with no sidewalks and people drive at least 60mph or more when driving by you... hence my walking outside is a bit on the negative side.... I am trying to find new ways to get exercise in.. any suggestions are welcomed!! Thanks all for the support and we can do this!!!0

How is everyone doing this week?? Have you found anything that is frustrating??? I know I have... I can't wait for college to be over!!! lol... I just don't have any time for anything!!! How do you all get through the struggles and not cave into eating the whole box of candy??0

Honey, when I first started on my journey, just wouldn't even start on sweets because I knew I wouldn't be able to stop, fruit would give help my sweet Thoth! Plus I would bake things with less sugar! Now, since I'm working sooo much I don't get time to bake!0

Good morning everybody!
I had a slow day yesterday (workout-wise), and today will be the same, due to long work hours. But I am well on the way with the 8 glasses of water, had even 9 yesterday :-)
Oh yes, the sweets... Worse for me is that now all the good ice cream parlors are open again. When I walk through the streets it is really hard to resist to buy a cone. I have made a deal with myself that I am only allowed ice cream if I get one to eat there, and not a cone for take away. It is much easier to not go inside for a prolonged stay than to grab a cone and going on my way. And sometimes if there is a special occasion, I go inside and indulge myself :-)

Lol.. the kids don't help with the sweets issue either... lol.. but im trying to hold back... as for fruits, should I take into consideration for my sugar intake when it comes to that?? Because I notice when I add fruit my sugar goes over on here???
Also... I am proud to say that this morning I took in 1/2 of what I usually do in creamer in my coffee this morning!!! that was a big accomplishment.. lol

How are we going to organize the team? I mean, do we report here each day with our progress in the challenge (e.g. how much water, calories burned, and so on)? GrandmaJackie can't check all our diaries ;-) (okay, she could, but that would be bothersome and tedious...)0 -

Apologies for not posting but Thursday morning I had a fall and jarred my back which has rather put a stop on my exercise and cooking plans ( being in bed or in a chair for 3 days). I fell pretty hard and may have cracked a tooth as I now have toothache to depress me further. Anyway a diet of mainly soup has not produced the required recipe and my summary is somewhat incomplete....

EXERCISE:
4 DAYS 30MIN CARDIO ~ days only averaging 30 mins plus 20 minutes today
SOMETHING NEW ~ failed,
350 SQUATS ~ failed, not attempting that with my back in its current condition!
NUTRITION:
RECIPE W/PIC (TWO COLORED VEGGIES) ~ failed. Hubby has been on kitchen duty and has been superb at providing homemade vegetable soups containing carrots, onion, cauliflower, tomato!

FRIDAY: not logged but estimated at least 6 to get through the painkillers
SATURDAY: again at least 6 as drinking soup!

I am, as you can imagine, disappointed at failing this challenge . I'm not sure whether I should post a 'before' picture on the site because my chin and nose are scarred - perhaps a neck down shot would be less disturbing. Anyway room for a great improvement next week.....0 -
Sorry not entirely with it... Exercise was 4 days average 30 mins plus a further 20 mins today.
Also not sure about weigh in deadline in view of different time zones so I have just weighed myself at 180lbs - unchanged, which is I suppose not surprising when I have been unable to exercise. At least I didn't put any on!!0 -
