Week three results: It’s been hard to see the overall scale number increase when I was seeing such a dramatic decrease for a while. BUT I know that I was losing muscle mass not fat and that’s simply not okay. During this challenge I’m focused on getting my fat mass down, regardless of what the overall scale number is. It was a tough week at work and my eating reflected that (<<rationale behind making poor eating choices)
Overall Weight: Last Saturday I weighed in at 146.4 and today I weighed in at 147.1, which is an overall weight gain of .7 pounds.
Fat Mass: Last Saturday I was about 42.9 pounds of fat. Today I’m about 42 pounds of fat, which is an overall loss of .9 pounds
Lean Mass: Last Saturday I was about 103.5 pounds of muscle and today I’m about 105.1 pounds of muscle which is a gain of 1.6 pounds
Photos: I’ve known for a while that I probably needed glasses. I had no idea I needed BIFOCALS. And just like a kiddo who gets promised a lollypop for being good during their shots I got some Sees Candy for being a good girl when I got my glasses
I’m not really able to see much change in my body composition when I look at the photos but I keep taking them hoping that one day I’ll be able to.
Non-Scale Victory: After failing at 65# bench press a few weeks ago I did it yesterday! Five sets of five reps and I was SOOoooooo proud of myself

Vacation derailed me last week, which I knew it would. It was vacation afterall, I am NOT going to deprive myself! So, I doubt i'll see any change this week, jumping back on the wagon this week with wild excitement to get back at it!

Weekly struggles?..........due to family events I had to eat out 5 times in two days near the end of the week. But, if you study any menu you can usually find something that will work in your plan. (Although, not what you really want, bahahahaha)

I gained half a pound, which is frustrating, but I'm trying to be optimistic! This week I completed WEEK 3 of the C25K program, so I'm trying to persuade myself that the .5 gain is muscle in my legs.0

I lost 1.4 pounds. WoOt! It's so great to be in the 170's. And I was able to find some other clothes that were in flat totes under my bed. And found some pants I can fit into now! YAY!

not really proud of myself this week because I gained 1lbs and even though its only one pound I still feel like its a set back for me because I was doing so good and know its 1 more pound I still have to lose ugh this is so frustrating but im not going to let that get me down. this week im going to push myself hard. and im going t be in the gym every day till Sunday that will be my rest day.

It's a little frustrating to wake up and feel like I've lost weight on a Friday, checking and seeing it is true all weekend, then checking in on Mondays for this and seeing it has gone back to where it was for most of last week. I'm not sure why it has been doing this lately, but it is getting hard to not get discouraged by the appearance of progress, only to be retracted a few days later.0 -

I have maintained my loss through the weekend, while its only 0.6 pounds, it is a loss. This loss is a magnificent one because it means that today marks 20 pounds lost for me since the beginning of 2013. I could not be happier with this progress.0 -

This week’s weigh-in is the first where I’ve actually weighed less than the March 25 weigh in! I’m down 3.2lbs from March 25, and down 5.6lbs from my starting weight. I’m on day eight of level one of 30 Day Shred (started on April 7) and I definitely think that’s helping. I can see and feel a huge difference.
Also, I have new found motivation for getting fit. I found out last week that I am going to Miami Beach for a work conference at the end of June. I have nine weeks to get in as good of shape as I possibly can, and I am really hopeful I can keep this past week's momentum going. I hope to weigh 156.5-157.5lbs by the next weigh in, and aim to be less than 155lbs by the end of the month.

Learned that Cardio / Diet sucks and is useless by itself, even though I dropped almost 5lbs my body fat is the same, so I lost lbs of Lean Body Mass. Back to lifting I go.
