I like today's piece of inspiration. I was reading last night's posts and I love that although we may each have our own obstacles (injuries, illness, babies, "little monsters" <heehee>, husbands <hehe>, time constraints, work, etc) and we still come here and work through them and just keep going. Everyone has obstacles, but what sets apart those who succeed from the mere "contenders", is refusal to give up. As long as we keep going and refuse to give up, we are already champions! :)

Thread bump for hump day. Will check-in later.

    Good morning everyone

Up early for work today on this grey dark morning. 8-4:30. I heard that the rain is suppose to end this afternoon, so a run is possible. Had a bit of a licorice attack last night. See, I am a twizzlers nibs addict.....and I got 3 packages for my birthday!! Large-ish packages. So, I had a few of those from an opened package and then gave the rest of the bag to hubby. I am hoping that its now gone!

Sherry - ahhh....someone wants to be like me! too funny :) I have actually done 2 half-marathons a few years ago. Can't imagine ever doing a whole one though. My hubby is very much active, last summer he did a full Ironman in Montreal. 4K swim, 160K bike and then a marathon. Phew....I was just tired out watching all day....can't imagine doing it. Lol But, he keeps me inspired and motivated. I started running in 2003, and really have been running quite steady since then. Even if I'm having a hard time with my diet I don't seem to have a hard time with my exercise. Good thing.

teetee - i guess I answered your question above there. lol I have done 2 half-marathons but never a full. Don't think it will ever happen! lol

I dont' really have time for more personals right now, I have to get going and get to work! Hope everyone has a great day full of exercise, good food and lotsa water!!

Good morning partners! I will come back later in the day to catch up on posts.

CLX Extreme Lower Body (41 mins) is done. This woman just loves her squats and lunges. I used 5 lb dumbbells confusing it with another workout and was too lazy to change to heavier for the lower body. Anywho…lol…that combined 10 lbs added to my 165 lbs body weight still had me drenched…lol!

Toni: I feel ya on P90X....work it!!

Sam: pretty please let your body heal itself before pushing it hard with Insanity and other fitness activities. You probably just don't like missing a day of fitness but do something milder like "stretching". Your body needs all it strength to fight that strep. Get well soon:flowerforyou:

    Have a great one...bbl....

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has an amazing day. It is rest day for me, but going to keep myself busy with work, homework and some house work.
NewAgainPam- great job on the CLX Extreme I think that might be the next program I do.

Thanks all for the encouragement! I got myself to the Y this morning! I'm trying to get in at least 1 day of weights each week, so that's one goal accomplished for today!

FromHere-Awesome inspiration! That's absolutely the truth! If you look at the most successful people in the world (in anything), they are only sometimes the most talented, but they are always the most diligent! These are the things that get me out of bed at 5:15!

Maureli- another half-er! I did one in March and am trying to get it together for a time improvement the first weekend in July. Also, my dad just won his ironman agegroup in Kona last year, that's a whole nother level, congrats to your hubby, how great that you can cheer eachother on!

Teetee-Much respect to you for being a mil wife! All my best to you and your hubby when he gets back from deployment. Mine loves super tasty foods that don't always fit into my diet plan too, so I totally get that! My hubby and I are both trying to lose weight, but doing it in somewhat different ways, so we've really had to learn to kind of do our own things sometimes and find ways to do our own thing, but together. The fact that you're really thinking about this now will help you have a game plan for when he gets home!

MyCrazy8s-My munchkin's teething too, I feel your pain! Good for you for getting the walk in. Babies/Toddlers also work great as added weight for certain exercises (kinda like those shake weights, since they don't sit still!) My son always thinks it's hilarious when I lift him over my head, and I've figured out ways to incorporate his squirming into biceps, triceps, abs, lunges, squats. He's not always up for a solid proper workout session, but 5min here and there add up! Way to go on putting in the extra effort to be an active mommy! How awesome is it that we'll be able to keep up and teach them to be active healthy kids?

Pam: I find myself leaning towards strength when I do DVDs as well, I feel comfortable running and enjoy it to pass time. My daughter will be 8 weeks this Friday. Yes, I am breastfeeding and I think that did help me shed the weight, but I was also sneaking in little workouts in the basement from weeks 4-6. Squats and lunges end with good results… Get it Girl!

CT: Great job getting your weights in today, making it a weekly goal is a start and probably easy to keep until your schedule totally allows and support more. Thank you. My husband and I are both in the Navy. He’s a submariner and of course I’m surface (wouldn’t want to be on a sub, either). He says that I encourage him, but his schedule both inport and underway, that working out is very difficult for him.

Auntsammy: Glad to see your back and feeling better. You’ll be back to your running in no time. I just started C25K, signed up for a 5k in July and really want to improve my 1.5mile time. Haven’t really ran consistently since my Achilles repair.

Sam: Sorry to hear your sick again. Getting your walk is great despite your strep throat. Feel better.

Mycrazy8: I hope your night wasn’t as long as you expected. But I too dred those nights and her teething. I’m not ready for that.

Hurdisnie: Another P90Xer… Which is your favorite workout?

Maureli: No rain in Groton, despite the weather saying a 20% chance. Hopefully, you’ll be able to get your run in… I’ll send sunrays your way.

Jess: House work can be a workout on its own! I fold my clothes downstairs, then take them up in trips so I am continuously walking up and down the steps.

Phew, got everyone from last night until today! Obviously not a busy day at work… actually I’m just not in the mood to really do it. So far, I was able to complete W1D2 of C25K. Feel great, just craving some chocolate! That is my weakness. Hopefully drinking water may make it go away some. This evening I will complete D3L1 30DS. This morning I jumped on the scale, the number went up a slight bit, but my BF went down! Yes, I’m super excited.

Hey everybody!!! I'm officially OVER the hump today! All I gotta do is get these kids to bed tonight and start cruisin' toward the weekend!

So, today I had some shopping to do. I put lil girl in the sling and carried her through it all, plus afternoon stuff with my son. So even though I was stuck with lil girl and didn't get to walk or run at the park...I mapped out all my trips through the city today and figured I walked about 5miles...all with a 36lb load (yep...weighed lil girl on my new evil scale). She wasn't cooped up in the sling the whole time, there was some stopping to play along the way and the park (where I cranked out 50 squats pushing the see-saw up & down) and finally the ballpit of the local Greek fastfood restaurant. After that I did my favorite Fitness Blender 84 minute 1000 calorie HIIT cardio, strength and abs workout. UGH! My abs were still sore from yesterday. Okay, just put one kid to bed in between typing. One more to go. So, I'm gonna try to push through some running and/or other workout tomorrow and give myself a semi-rest day Friday.

So, back to bedtime routines I go. Good work y'all! Keep on keepin' on! Tomorrow!

No workout for me today, leg flared up pretty good.

tee tee- I had multiple stress fractures of the fibula in Jan, and still have not recovered fully, I have something going on with my muscles knotting up so going to another specialist tomorrow-- she deals with muscles and tendons and such. It's just so frustrating missing all this beautiful running and riding weather.

Looks like everyone is doing great today, keep up the good work.

I got my SL's done in the lovely humidity that is SE Texas. Talk about dripping sweat. Sheesh. My husband likes to lift weights to heavy metal screeching, whereas I prefer more upbeat. I usually do 80's, but today decided I'd go back another decade to the 70's. I put it on Pandora Disco, but somehow it seemed more like funk - and I LIKED it! "Brick House" and "She's a Bad Mama Jama" made me smile and shake my groove thang between sets!

Today I did 30 minutes of an indoor jogging/aerobics video by Jessica Smith (approx 20 minutes jogging in place and 10 minutes high impact aerobics/ jumping). I also did 45 minutes of yoga.

Teetee: Glad to see another C25ker! It's amazing how great the program is at building you up. I remember dreading 90 second runs and now I'm up to 5 minute intervals. It's really an awesome feeling.

Liz: Shake what your mama gave ya! Great job with the lifting!

    Hey Everyone..

So I adjusted my P90X workout again, instead of YogaX I did the Plyometrics which is a beast.. its a bunch..... a whole lotta jumping around and I get tired and winded and then I look at Pam the Blams legs and I push a little harder.. I mean I don't want my legs to look like hers I'm like 5 inches shorter then her ( I would be buff) I want some definition so I keep going.. and I don't mind the moves too much even though I am tired the last 15min.... What I really hate is the HOT FOOT... where you bounce on your right foot and you basically make a cross you go up back, right then left... I can't stand those well my knees start to hurt after like 7 too much weight on my knees I think.. ( i really need to work on my diet...it could be sooo much better)

Teetee: My favorite P90X workout right now is KempoX- I can so hang with that workout and my form is improving.. :-)

Liz: Great workout music... 70's and 80's..

You guys are awesome it is great motivation to come here and see others putting forth effort to workout.. I am encouraged and make sure I adjust just so I can report to let you guys know I am still here...

Whoo hoo :flowerforyou: SUCCESS... has been checkin in..yeah:bigsmile:
