Im sore in pain, what now

I am a great runner, cardio is never a problem. But now im doing weight training. my abs or stamach muscles HURTT ! Hurts to stand and laugh or move. Its not leg day or squat day but its AB day again, so what do i do. Im in pain. does it get better if I keep going and ignor the horrible sorness? or thats what I get. Mind over matter, or is there a cure ?

It's fine to lift with soreness.
That said, you probably don't need an "ab day"0 -
What routine do you do? How long have you been strength training for?
It is fine to work out while sore as long as it does not compromise your form.0 -
Another idea would be to reduce the intensity and weights a notch and let your body adjust to the muscle soreness. Within a few weeks it shouldn't last more than a day or so.
I did squats Monday and ran last night (slow easy pace) with no problems at all. My legs were a little sore when I left but a 15 minute warmup walk helped take care of that.0
