Goals, rewards?

What are your goals? and are you planning on rewarding yourself when you reach a certain goal? I've seen on a few different people's pages that they will get a tattoo, or a piercing or a new wardrobe when they reach their goal, I'm trying to decide what I want for when I reach my big goal, and mini goals, but i'm also still trying to figure out what my mini goals are.

I have written a backwards (bigger to smaller) list of lovely classic clothes I own that I want to fit in to. Really, that is my guiding light. I am going to put them in one drawer tomorrow and have a trying on session every now and then. I love clothes and want to wear what I want.

My big goal? I would buy a bikini for my holiday in June. I will work at a manageable level and see if I get there.

I guess 'extraordinary' goals have not worked for me in the past. It's more one day, or 2/3 at a time that get me results.

(And frankly, I'm too old for piercing or tattoos - but can understand that they would be a self-gift if you've lost weight).

What do you think yours are?

My big final goal is to lose 80 pounds and look good and be comfortable in a bikini, but I've been thinking about it, and when I lose 10 pounds, i'm going to dye my hair the colour i've been eyeing, i'm currently trying to get into a pair of pants that were too big on me last year, and i can't even button up this year! so every now and then i'm trying them on, and I think the day they fit me perfectly, will be the day i buy myself a second pair of them! I'm hoping at some point soon, i'll need to buy all new pants.

My goal is definitely to be ready for summer, and finally be able to wear a bikini for the first time ever! So the reward would be a new swimsuit :) I'm going to San Francisco at the end of June and I want to at least be at 150 - which was where I was almost two years ago.

My other goals involve eventually training for a fitness or nutrition profession.

I'm not really sure what my rewards are. So far I am just enjoying getting back in shape, and seeing changes in my body.

My main goal is to get back into the habit of exercising as part of my regular routine. They say it takes 30 days to make a new habit, so this is perfect!

I'm rewarding myself with new workout gear. I currently wear the tattiest old kit and hate how I look in it so I want to get some cute bits that I enjoy wearing.

As a big final goal, I want to be able to buy (and wear!) bikinis by the summer. Ideally that would happen by around mid-June because I'm going on a small vacation then with my immediate family and I'd love to be able to wear them, but more realistically by mid-July I want to really be able to wear them confidently. Sometimes I get scared that that's not realistic when I look in the mirror and step on the scale, but all I can do is work really hard and hope that it is, I guess.

I do need some smaller reward ideas, though. Sometimes summer seems so close and I feel like there's no point trying because there's no way I'll be ready by then, so I need other things to keep me motivated. I'm a student and I've got exams coming up soon though so life is going to be very very stressful for the next 3-4 weeks or so. If I can get through that without completely wrecking my healthy habits then I am definitely going to treat myself to something - not sure what though. I'm kind of scared to buy new clothes because I want to wait until I'm completely done before doing that, but we'll see.

So most of us are aiming at a bikini. It's a big one for me, not worn a bikini for ten years.

But I'm really starting to feel and see a change - my torso in particular. I'm really motivated by it.

Perhaps we should go to Ripped in 30 when we're through with this. Because we are going all the way. RI30 is 4 levels in 4 weeks, but the workouts are 24 minutes. I like the short workout and 4minutes extra would still count as short (wouldn't it?)

Yah, that's what I'm wearing at the moment... ick! LOL

That is one thing that is definitely not on my radar! I don't think I'll ever be slim or confident enough to wear one of those. I have a boy short tankini that I wear taking my daughter swimming and that's as much as I'm exposing! I look like a bather from the Victorian era!

I want to be able to fit back into my "skinny" shorts. I haven't been able to for the past two years. But, I have made some progress, I was able to donate the shorts I had bought last summer because they were too big :) I'd also like to lose a few inches hours in the tummy and Thighs, my caboose can stay lol. I'm also pasty white year round so a toned figure is a definite desire for swimming season!
Also my wedding and honeymoon are in October, so I'd like to look super hot for that ;)
