"Jogging"?

So I have wondered over the past workouts I have done.. I feel like I'm jogging (moving faster that I normally do, both feet off the ground at the same time) but am I really jogging? Or is it a personal thing? Thanks! :flowerforyou:

It's a type of stride. Walking always has one foot on the ground. Jogging/running has both feet off. Speed is irrelevant. You can run more slowly than I can walk, if you choose. You can run in place.

LOL! I make distinctions to myself as well. For me, jogging is slow and running is faster. I'm not sure yet where I would change from "jogging" to "running"; I guess it would feel different to run rather than jog? Just for the sake of putting numbers to it, I'd estimate that, for me, jogging is any pace around 15 min/mile or slower, while running is around 12 min/mile or faster?

Not sure what the in between speed of 13/14 min/mile would be.

As long as both feet are off the ground at some point, you're doing it right. Way to go!
