DON'T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF

Many of us, a good percentage of us, have been trying to lose weight for quite some time now. We have lost, gained it back and lost it again. That's a recipe for beating ourselves up. DON'T.
So many of you have cut your sugar goals down to where they should be. Give yourself credit for that. Give yourself credit for being in the "know". Many of you sniffed out that information. You've been reading; you've been trying to educate yourself. Zillions and zillions of people still do not know the bitter truth about sugar. Knowledge and action equals power.
So let's go on to the "action" part of it. Sugar is addictive. If you are like most Americans, you are consuming close to 80 grams of sugar each and every day. Bringing it down to 30-40 grams a day, depending on your calories, is a huge undertaking. Make a plan, tell yourself you are going to take it down little by little. Wean yourself off of it. And always know that you don't have to deprive yourself of it completely. I love ice cream; I will never give it up completely. I have it as a special treat and usually I earn it by exercising a bit more for it.
Once you begin to get the sugar under control, you are on the road to recovery and recovery means a new energy, new skin, new body, new health! Don't beat yourself up along the way.

Great post! Sugar is my drug. I'm type 1 diabetic and I have to inject insulin everytime I want a sweet or anything that has carbs in it. It's very addictive and makes it difficult to lose weight!0
