Miles or Time?

What do you go for? I personally go for time. I get a lot more impressed when I think "Wooo I ran 30 minutes!" over "Wooo I ran 2.41 miles!"
I also find if I'm doing miles I choose landmarks for every 0.5 miles, sometimes ever quarter miles, all I can think is "am I thereee yeeett".
But if I'm doing time (and not looking at my stop watch..!) then I can relax a little more and not focus on that mailbox on the horizon. I'll get there when I get there.

I run for time. But I measured miles some times in between to see how far I´ve come and to estimate my speed and my routes.
Now I walked the route of my upcoming 5k to know the km-markers, it will help me during the race. Once I am at the water table only 2km left and no more hills, I like to know those things.0 -
I go by time also! When I go out for C25K I have two apps running: C25K and Runkeeper. That way I can hear the distance I've gone, calories burned, current speed, average speed or really anything I want with the Runkeeper app while also getting notified when to run/walk with the C25K app. Just make sure you stager the times you start each app so they don't speak over each other :P0

Time because...
1. My app goes off time.
2. I run realy slow.
EDIT:
To track my miles, I use Charity Miles0
