Today:
Fitness Blender
(1) Ultimate Toning and Cardio Workout for Belly Fat Loss - Abs and Cardio Training ROUND 1
(2) No Squat Leg Workout – Squat Free Butt & Thigh Workout ROUND 1
oh man these were harder than I expected!!! I only did round 1 of each. I felt like the most out of shape person in the world trying to do some of those exercises that the fembot made look sooo easy! Dang!
Hopefully some walking at the park later today.
Happy Tuesday all!0 -
Good Morning
Got my run in yesteray, after work - 6K and definitely overdressed for it. It was cool running into the wind but warm coming back with it pusing me. Today I may attempt a run....it is suppose to rain so it will depend on when this attempt happens. haha if not....a workout in the basment it will be. I am so happy that we made a room in our basement a few years ago, it is the perfect place for me to do a workout.
Sherry - it sounds like you got a lot of exercise in yesterday, WTG!
ctpeace - weekends are so hard for me too....mostly just Saturdays, maybe Friday evenings. I still do the exercise, but my eating is usually not so great. That is what I need to work on.
Dina - good plan, I like the RI30 workouts. They are great, and I always feel them the next day.
Pam - cant' believe they ate all the peach cobler!! haha I guess you'll just have to make more - or they will as you already read, I ended up running...
healthymarla - sounds like a great place for a hike....and a great workout. Bet you feel it in the butt area with all those hills
scrook - I am like you, when something goes wrong with the bike.....I call hubby. I could probably get the chain back on...but one time it jammed and I was done lol I have never had a flat yet though!
auntsammy - great run today, and walking with the weights is awesome.
Toni - glad you're feeling better.....hope today is slower for you!0 -
Nice run Maureen!
So I walked at the park today. I'm a little bummed because running isn't happening very well for me. :-( I've always been predisposed to shinsplints and I've been trying sooo hard to watch my form, but it seems that I can land wrong just one time and I can feel the shinsplint begin. On top of that, the back of my right calf has been hurting--it's a strange pain in one spot inside the muscle, not the whole muscle. I warm-up by doing regular walking and I always cooldown and stretch (even when I only walk). But the biggest factor might be the big hill that makes up a large part of the track at the park. It's a killer hill. Oddly enough, the hill on the opposite side of the loop doesn't seem that bad, so I sometimes run against traffic. There's also a few smaller internal tracks, one that has a rather uneven surface and one that often has HIIT sprinters on it. I think I'll try one of the little tracks (no big hills) next time. But I'm starting to think I'm going to have to get compression socks for my shins. :sad:0 -
Hi all, got 4 miles in this morning, I was going to sleep 20 min more, but I think my body was ready to run, and I couldn't fall back asleep! This is a total victory for me today! More importantly for my goals this week, I logged my healthy salmon and salad dinner last night!
Maureli: yes! weekend workouts are actually easier to get in sometimes, but the diet often falls apart for me! This site is really keeping me accountable and helping me figure out where the problem areas are so I can fix them. Let's check in with eachother monday, that'll be good motivation for me
From Here: Have you ever looked into Jeff Galloway's run/walk method? That's what I do, and it might help with getting some running in without aggravating the shins. I hope they feel better soon and I commend you for doing all the exercise that you do even with that hurdle.0 -
Good day Tuesday!! Did the CLX Extreme Lower Body Zone (strength, 41 mins) and upped my dumbbells to 15 lbs which was a combined total of 30 lbs for use with lunges, squats, and dead lifts this morning. Every muscle below the belly button was hit! I was drenched before the end of the workout, too. BTW, I did all 12 reps of push-up w/leg lifts from my TOES...yay!!
Sherry: those big hills just may be causing that sore calf muscle. Do you have a foam roller? It works wonders to get the soreness out of muscles. You had a great session this morning and enjoy the walk at the park later.
Maureen: it will be a holiday before I make another peach cobbler and will be sure to set aside some extra servings for myself:laugh: Having a good place to workout at home is cool. Hope you get to run before the rain. We are expecting rain later tonight.
Have a terrific day partners!
p.s. Ctpeace: YAY!!! Way to go on getting your workout this moring...VICTORY!!0 -
Ok Hello everyone
So I am going to get my workout in although it may be late.. and I think it will only be the Xstretch.. I did start feeling better yesterday but then when I got off work at 5 I left my house and 6 and drove 1:45min to Bakersfeild, Ca to pick up my mom. My brother in law was coming form Southern California and hit the beatuiful traffic down there so I ended up sitting in Bakersfeild for an hour until he got there and then drove back home.. I got home at 10:45pm.
So today... is the first day of the rest of my healthy life.. :-)
Thanks for all your continued motivation.. I have to admit had this happen last year.. I probably would of taken forever to get started again... I am glad I am different and movitated this time.0 -
Good afternoon everybody!
Well today was a little over kill on the working out. Got up at 5am did my Turbo Fire 30 and Sculpt 30. An hr later my best friend asks if I want to come over and workout on my lunch break, sure why not tomorrow is rest day. So did Turbo Fire 45 on my lunch as well. Over 1000 calories burned today, I am thinking Ice Cream after dinner tonight lol0 -
Day 2 of RI30 wk 1 rewind & This is Tae Bo. Good day today so far I've met all my goals diet, excerise & water. I even rememberd to take my supplements. Until tomorrow...0

Evening! So I let life take over for the past few days. Yesterday was my daughter's first shots and I didn't intend for the appointment to take that long. My daughter is a trooper and didn't cry but has been tired all day. Now I have to learn what she is allergic too.
Today was cold so everyone in the office decided not to go to TRX but I instead came home and completed 30DS. Since I really let things go over the weekend, I figured it would be easier if I continued level 2 until the 30, then move to level 2. From what I glanced it seemed like everyone is having a good day. Hopefully, I will be able to read over and comment. Check with everyone tomorrow.0 -
Had two appts in next large town over, did 3-4 mile river walk in between appts.
Last appt was finishing crown at dentist, lots of drilling, I am having a glass of wine and strawberries for lunch!0 -
Hi everyone, This morning I did the Firm Super Body Sculpt. 40 min total body workout. I must admit my legs are still sore from the bike ride last night.
Maureli and CT peace -- Great job on your runs. This is beautiful weather for it.
Here on out, Sorry to hear about your shin splints. I suffered from them for the first 6 months of running, The compression socks helped alot. And I also iced every nite even after they stopped hurting. I am a firm believer of icing and ice baths. I'm getting ready to uncover the pool as a matter of fact. When I get done working out I just walk down the latter until I'm hip deep for 3-5 min.
newagainpam- Awesome job on the big girl push-ups, that is a huge accomplishment. and the heavy weights.
Hurdisnie--I'm so glad you are staying motivated and positive and not giving up
Jessmart--holy cow--ice cream for sure
Dina-- You had an awesome day also
teetee- Those first shots are terrible, glad you got your workout in
healthy maria-- way to utilize your time and get your workout in0 -
Today I did:
Jessica Smith's Upper Body Meltdown Workout (17 minutes) and a 60 minute power/flow yoga class. Very cold outside today. I'm hoping it will be warmer tomorrow for my run. Good job ladies!
Marla: Great job on your river walk! Enjoy the wine.
Dina: I love Tae Bo! It's an awesome workout.
Jess: Way to get some! Enjoy the ice cream!0 -
FromHereOnOut - I lol'd at the "fembot" comment! I'm a little leary of shin splints from past experience, but it hasn't happened to me again here recently. Of course, I'm not running all THAT much just yet!
maureli - Great run yesterday! Lucky you, with your personal workout area in the basement! I miss basements - don't have them in my part of Texas (not sure about further north). The musty smell of a basement reminds me of my early childhood in Illinois.
ctpeace - Nice run! Looks like we've got a few runners going on - I wanna be one too and I'm working on it! I looked up the Jeff Galloway's run/walk method that you mentioned, and I'm pretty much doing that now and at about the recommended interval. So, I guess my body somewhat knows what it's doing!
NewAgainPam - Awesome workout and great job on upping your weights AND doing your full on push ups! I need to work on mine.
Hurdisnie1 - Great job getting back in the saddle! I know exactly what you mean about a year ago. Same would have happened with me.
jessmart83 - Holy cow! Talk about smelling fat burning!
DinaMW2013 - Good workout and awesome on meeting all your goals. Today was a goals met day for me as well, and it's such a good feeling!
teetee1281 - Way to stick with it even when no one else is!
healthymarla - I bet the scenery was spectacular on your walks. Your lunch sounds divine! :drinker:
scrook43 - Nice workout! Hope your legs feel better soon.
auntsammy88 - Fantastic workout! 60 minutes of power/flow yoga sounds hardcore!
I spent most of the day volunteering at my daughter's school to help prep for their spring festival on Thursday and pre-k graduation on Friday. My son had baseball practice 6:00-7:30, so I decided to incorporate my workout in during that time. I loaded up the jogging stroller with the other two kiddos and walked/ran 2.05 mi. A little soreness from my lifting yesterday, but only because I lifted like a beast on my overhead press. Hopefully this isn't where I plateau. My upper body strength is so puny. I used my foam roller tonight and I feel like I could just fall fast asleep and I think I just might here shortly! I donated blood yesterday. I'm trying to make it a habit of doing it every 8 weeks.0 -
hopefully I will be more active in May. We are really short on money right now and I have not been working out hard so that I can afford to eat less and not go too far in to a deficit.0
