i have horrible insomnia that is causing night binges. i am so lost - i keep gaining back all that i've lost and i can barely walk now my right foot and ankle hurt so bad!
i know i need to lose weight but i just eat and eat - over 5,000 cals daily!
p.s. should i go back to overeaters anonymous? im at the end of my rope here…

Sounds as though you need a good support system to help you through these tough times. I've never been to an OA meeting but think it might be a good idea for you if you think you will get the support you need. I'm sure others can speak more about the actual meetings.
Another option you may consider is Weight Watchers. I am a lifetime member and I still keep track of my points in addition to my calories. I love attending meetings and I always walk away with new insights from the leader or other members. It's also a wonderful support network. That being said, if you do decide to join WW I would suggest you try several different meetings to find the group that is best for you. Not all meetings/leaders are created equally.
I wish you all the best as you embark on a healthier, binge free life. It's very difficult to overcome but I know you can do it.0 -
Hello,
I struggle with binging, too, but it's recently gotten a lot better due to some techniques I've been doing. I don't know if these will help you or not, but it's worth a shot. Here are the links:

By the way, I noticed you joined an Aspergers support group. ( I'm assuming you have Aspergers? That's cool). I also just joined that....I'm pretty darn sure I have Asperger's, too. It's great to find a fellow aspie out there! Maybe my similar thought pattern will be able to reach you and help you. I think aspies struggle with things like food addictions, binging, unusual eating, etc... I know I do. If you keep working on it, I know you can change and have control. I didn't think it was possible for me, but I'm discovering that it is! Good luck....don't give up!0 -
This is me, too. Every night0

I, too, have insomnia and have a terrible time with middle of the night bingeing. I don't buy any trigger foods and we lock the refrigerator and my husband keeps the key at night. It's very, very hard and getting some support, in person, would be a really good idea. And we'll support you all we can!
