Still unsure about the deficit - is this OK?

Can a 250-300 kcal deficit from TDEE (about 10-15%) really be enough when you only need to lose like 10-15 lbs at most? I don't mind losing it slowly (or even *very* slowly), I don't even weigh myself more than once or twice a month-I focus more on measurements. I've been stuck at a too low calorie limit for the past 2 months without eating exercise calories back, so I am prepared to the possibility of gaining a bit at first...

Should I start with the deficit or is it better to take some time at full TDEE?

    I think tdee for a week or two then a 15% cut then when you get to 10 lbs to your goal switch down to 10%
