    Good morning all!!

I'm just trying to figure out what I'll do today. I'm sore all over from my "death by squats & dips" yesterday! haha! Tomorrow I weigh & measure for the Hunger Games, so I normally need to take it easier tonight. In addition, no lessons for my son, so no "alone time" at the park for me. But DH did take our son to the office with him. So now just to figure something out...with my lil girl. I'm leaning towards plopping her in the sling and taking a nice long fast walk and ending up at a playground for her to play. If I do something like that, plus some more squats & dips between now and dinner...well, I'll definitely be PROUD.

Have a great one!!! Friday is on it's way!

Hi all, so sorry I did not get on here to post yesterday. It was kind of a messed up day yesterday. I had a good run in the morning - 8Km again! So happy that I seem to be feeling ok with adding a bit more mileage on there. But, after I got home I ended up with a stinking migraine. I dont' get them really bad, don't have to go to bed and turn the lights off. But, it really makes me feel crappy and I dont' do a whole lot the rest of the day. Plus I think the migraine advil makes me whoosy. SO...that was yesterday!

I am trying to decide if I should go to town for groceries today, or stay home. Its nice out, but its giving nice weather for as long as I can see (yay) so I won't really be missing anything. lol if I do go to town, I will do my workout this afternoon.

I guess I need to go back and read yesterdays posts. Hope you all have a good day!

    Morning All!
I got my TANITA scale in the mail!!! I'm excited that apparently BF% is only in the (+) range, and not the (++) range, but I've still got a ways to go. It's a funny thing to all of a sudden have more information available, this means no more weighing in the morning so that I'm not weighing water weight! It was kind of a shocker for my hubby when he stepped on, but this might be a motivator.

Today I did 3 miles. My glutes and calves specifically were super sore, and didn't really loosen up til mile 3, but they fortunately did.

Tomorrow i likely won't log on until evening, hubby is taking me hiking!

Hello all! I got my W1D1 C25K in yesterday evening after dinner when hubby got home. It was so nice to go without having to push a jogging stroller! I even had a neighborhood dog join me for part of my walk/jog. Let me tell you, even the running jarred my sore back some at first. Also, my shin splints are starting to flare up, but I haven't been stretching like I should with the increased running. So, I did extra stretching, put ice on them, and will do some foam rolling today. My back is feeling better today, but I think I'm going to give it one more day of rest to be sure. I may get C25K in today between or after errands. Tomorrow and Saturday will be busy for me with my daughter's dance recital rehearsals and actual recital, so I'm not counting on any workouts those days.

    Enjoy your day, friends!

Got up this morning after only sleeping 4 hours and decided to drag my butt on the treadmill to get my 3 miles in.

Ctpeace: I also felt the same at as you during my run today. I was just getting into the run and the 3 miles was done!

I even had enough energy to do Jillian Michaels 30 day shred level 1 workout video. Was surprised how easy I found it, might jump up to Level 2!!!

Finally going home to see my fiancé see I work 3 hours away from home so I am gone 6 days at a time! My mom is coming for a visit going to look at some cottages just hope to stick to my running schedule for the weekend. She s very supportive so I don't foresee any issue and Richard is working the weekend!!

    Have a great Thursday everyone!!!!

It's Thursday already....this week is moving along so fast!

Cardio! Walked for 45 minutes at a very brisk pace outdoors this morning. Boy was it windy (21 mph NNW) but I was determined to get it done OUTDOORS! This was my "making myself proud" moment.

Marla: thanks for the info on Nia and it does sound like a nice workout. I've never visited a gym or a class for workout sessions. I am a "workout at home" diva... I know each of us have a different "style" and it's nice when we all find that zone which works well. I am curious so will do an online search to see if Nia is in my area.

Liz:: Your back should continue to improve with rest, light stretching, and over-the-counter pain med if necessary. Sounds like you know what to do in caring for your back and shins. Enjoy the time at your DD's rehearsal and recital this weekend.

Jules: you had such a GREAT run on yesterday and thanks for giving me more info on your marathon training weeks. Good job on the treadmill this morning, too.

Have a THANKFUL and PROUD Thursday!!

Back to report that I'm PROUD to say I completed W1D2 of C25K! With the warm up and cool down, I end up doing probably about 2.5 miles instead of just 2 miles, which is my usual. I'm not sure exactly because I can't run the other program that tracks distance at the same time as the C25K, so I'm guesstimating based on how much farther it 'looks' like I go.

ctpeace - I'm not sure what a TANITA scale is. I may have to Google it! Great job on the 3 miles!

Jules - You were a bundle of workout energy today! Way to go!

Pam - Glad you got your brisk walk in! It was windy here too, but not so bad. The cloud cover and wind made it nice. The sun peeked out right at the end. I'm not looking forward to SE Texas summer runs! :noway:

Marla - Canada trip sounds like some beautiful scenery!

Marla: Enjoy Canada! Work or play?

Pam: Way to go on the cardio! (And I love your new pic!)

Liz: It's got BF% and water on it, I just got a basic one, but it's a great little tool. I was in the "overfat" category rather than "obese", so that was a positive moment for me. My son also found he can make it beep, which of course he loves!

Jules: Yay for 3mi day! Looking at your weight ticker and reading your times, you're basically where I aspire to be, thanks for the inspiration, keep up the good work!

Sherry: I love hearing about your adventures with the kiddos, it's motivating to hear the way you juggle it all and make the time for exercise.

I did my 30min run on the treadmill over lunch although my eating today is horrible. has been horrible for 2 days in a row. i just don't crave vegetables for dinner or when i get home. I only crave carbs - bread, rice, plantains. arrrggghhhh. anyway, the workout is still on, will try to get the food under control.
ctpeace: u have me thinking maybe i should check my body fat %. hmmmm.....

Hey guys! So yesterday I ended up walking w/lil girl in the sling to DH's office, picking up my son and taking them both to the park (60min walk...with bus ride in the middle). We stayed there for a couple hours and DH showed up and I ran, 2 laps, walked a couple laps, ran another lap, then a film crew started filming the runners and I got the heck out of there! haha. A couple hours after the park I got extremely sick and am still not the same. :frown: Just waiting to see when this thing is going to pass, so I can feel normal again
