^^Nice poster! I've definitely got the first part down...it's the second part that I'm still working on!!
Well, today is still a holiday, as is tomorrow. Having hubby at home wrecks my motivation/momentum/plans for working out. But I'm hoping that I can piece something together for the next two days.
Happy New Week everyone!! Remember, Summer's getting closer and closer every day!! Let's do this!!!!0 -
Good Monday Morning everyone!
I am up early and ready for work. Yesterday was a rest day for me, so today I hope to either run after work or do a RI30 workout. I guess it will all depend on what time I get off. I'm thinking 4:30, but you can never be sure until it happens.
Have a good day all0 -
Hi All, I'm seriously considering switching from eating back exercise calories to TDEE-%, I always eat more on the weekends because of long workouts, and my scale tends to go down btw monday and thursday, then shoot back up on the weekends. I am frustrated. Other than that, all is well, just another "starting fresh" monday for me. Moving forward.
Oh, and I plan to get some walking and office situps/pushups in today, that's all I've got time for.
Have a great day everyone!0 -
Hello Everyone
Thanks so dearly for all your thoughts and condolences, it's been a little exausting but I am determined and will push through. I will be getting some type of workout in I feel like I have to work myself back up to the killer workouts..
I saw a 55year old woman on instagram ( thats how old they say she is ) with a killer 6pack... can you have an excuse... she is all over fit though. I don't want to look like her but I keep telling myself I can do better then this.
So i'm getting back up and going for it.... starting now.0 -
Hey guys!!
Well, I've been a slug all day. grrrrrr. And hubby has tomorrow off work too. yikes, what am I gonna do?! Why can't I get anything done when he's around? (sigh)
Well, I found out this weeks Hunger Games challenge and I think I have to make a decision. I think I'm going to have to devote most of my morning workout to completing the HG challenge exercises, and then do outdoor cardio at the park in the afternoon. I saw last week that it was becoming too much to do all three. But that's okay. The HG exercises are great workouts. Between the time issue and the calorie issue (was thinking I'd need to eat more if I continued to do all 3), I think it's the best thing for me to do. I'll mix it up some, of course.
Carley, y'know I currently eat that way, in other words not eating back exercise calories. Both ways have pros and cons. I'm also listening to my body much more, which has been easier to do in a "well fed" state vs. an underfed state. Listening to my body, I am finding that on days that I am less active (like today), I eat less--naturally. And on days in which I'm more active, I eat what I feel necessary guilt-free. I think it's "wanting" to eat, but feeling guilty about it and then "not" eating that leads to evening "breaking point" binges. That's what I used to do. Now that I allow myself to eat, guilt-free, there's been less "breaking point binges" for me.
maureen, have a nice workout whatever time it is!
toni, I am soo inspired by older women who are in great shape. I really feed off of that type of inspiration because it means that it's NEVER TOO LATE. I love that.
So, where's everybody else??0 -
I finally got over here and laughing at the poster I put up top..lol. It's been a joke between me and some other fitness buddies that we gotta do the "hog sweat" (pigs don't sweat so you know you are working hard if you dooooo...LMBO)
I woke feeling puny this morning so much so I laid around a little longer. I don't know if my ABS workout on Friday cause extra sore upper muscle ache and affected my digestive tract. I felt a little nausea and bloated like I needed a BIG burp! I swapped out a strength training session scheduled for today for a 30 minute outdoor interval-type walk instead. I finally started feeling a LOT better just a couple of hours ago.
Sherry: give your new plans a try and you can always do it differently. How many weeks is that HG challenge?
Toni: it's good to see you today.:flowerforyou: I am 59 yrs young and a living example that it is never too late to start some kind of fitness routine. It's nice to see "mature in age" women taking care of themselves and hopefully it will influence those that are much younger. Wished I'd done what I am doing now at a much earlier age and had people in my life with a "health & fitness" mindset to influence me, too.
Carley, I never knew about "eating back calories" until joining MFP. Maybe some of the other sites had the "numbers" already worked in....kwim? Did you get your walk and office strength exercises done?
Maureen: hope that you got in a great run this evening!!
Alright, I am heading off and wishing each of you a great evening.0 -

Well I didn't get a chance to exercise since I needed to drive 5 hours to get back to work. I live 3 hours away from work and do room and board for 6 days at a time. I didn't over eat today which was a good thing but I didn't drink much water, Tomorrow I am planning on running in the morning and doing a strength routine! Get back into lifting weights and I start a 12 week challenge starting in Wednesday!!! Hope everyone had a great Sunday!0
