    Here's a few of mine:

    1. Cool pak air popped popcorn - comes in multipacks, very inexpensive and under 100 calories per serve. Awesome treat to take to the movies too.

    2. Lipton Green Tea - only 2.4 calories - ok its a beverage but now we are going towards winter, its awesome for when you need to keep hydrated with something warm.

    3. Arnotts Iced Vovo - this iconic Aussie (even if now foreign owned) biscuit is 54 calories and satisfies a sweet tooth with a nice warm cup of coffee (or Lipton Green Tea)

    4. Uncle Toby's Oats - always an awesome start to the day (especially in winter).

    5. Diick Smith Bush Foods Breakfast - another nice breakfast for warmer days.

Oh and of course, I love our great Aussie produce - Australian Naval oranges are coming into season.

I sound like an ad lol. PS mfp didn't like to print out one of the brand names!

I've been partial to the low-cal crème caramel and chocolate mouse in the diary section Coles Racecourse (Launceston). They're about 60 cal and really hit the spot. Quite often, they're also on special.

I sometimes mix zero-fat yoghurt with goodness superfoods Protein 1st muesli for a very quick low-cal, high-protein breakfast. Protein 1st isn't the best tasting muesli and it takes some commitment.

I also like to cook with quinoa from time to time. Its an Aztec grain that is relatively low cal / high protein.
    kind regards,

    Ben

Not a food but, I bought a fantastic mini frypan in Woolies. Perfect for 1 - 2 poached eggs. Because of the size it takes no time to get the water to temp and it very easy to get the eggs in and out so they look perfect!
Needless to say they also taste great....with avocado and chai seeds all on good grainy bread or pumpernickel (if you can actually find it)

I actually found pumpernickel in Coles a couple of weeks back. It went on a field trip with me and was perfect for a ploughman's lunch consisting of some excellent Tasmanian cheese, tomato and sirena tuna.
Try the European food section of your supermarket or ask one of the staff.

Thanks...usually shop in Woolies. Staff there didn't know what I was talking about. Was getting it from a specialist deli but they sold out and haven't restocked. Will certainly give Coles a go!!

Many great foods listed that I'm a fan of, what I didn't see though was the pavlova/meringue nests. They are in woollies and are 40 cals, add lite creme from a bottle (20 ish cals) and top with a couple of strawberries (12 cals for 2). Super yummy dessert and feels decadent for like 72 cals!!!

Have to agree that the Fruit for life dried coconut is so amazing but does contain some sugar yes. Half a packet is enough for a snack though.

I love Goaties, they are a tiny one serve bag of dried powdered goats milk lollies flavoured with chocolate. Think they are meant for kids but they are only around 40 calories for the packet. Available at Coles in the section near sugar free/gluten free stuff.

Have eaten a whole tub at once. Added maple syrup and cinnamon half way. Not recommended for those dieting

It tastes so good though! I nearly did that myself, and also had it with Bateman's Bay honey

I just found in the Asian grocer - frozen preprepared Japanese Onomiyaki (Japanese Pancakes) - they are savory made with cabbage, prawns, onion, egg and flour - they are SO good and only 78 cal each - so with a bit of Bulldog Sauce and a small squeeze of Kewpie mayo they are a total treat for a light meal!! For a heavier meal, just grill some chicken - better still with a teriyaki marinade and eat on the side - YUM. If you are in Adelaide so far I know you can buy them in Little Tokyo in the Central Markets. For others they are made by Japanese Food Company (Aust)

On a sweet note - meringues (pavlova nests) filled with plain Greek yogurt (chabani) topped with segments of orange and strawberry and drizzled with chocolate (magic ice cream topping) Low fat, but sugar may add up with the meringue. No cream at all.

Hot Chocolate range = **** Smith's hot chocolate and inexpensive

We had okonomiyaki for lunch the weekend before last!! It is so tasty and filling but it is also so easy to make- I really recommend you try making it yourself and that way you can control exactly what's in it.

Was in Woolies today and noticed that they have started stocking carton egg whites in the fridge section (as opposed to the frozen ones) with the eggs. They also had powdered eggs and per-made carton omlets. Anyone tried these?

I love the Swisse Recovery Protein Bars (Choc/Goji). Really tasty and a great way to add protein and battle my chocolate cravings at the same time.

Also, whoever mentioned Smooze Ice, thank you very much. So far I've tried the plain coconut and the coconut/pineapple. Really good especially the plain coconut.

I tried the Vitarium drinking chocolate. It is pretty good if you want chocolate milk but I was expecting something similar to the Jarrah hot chocolate drinks to make with water so I was a little let down.

gmallan - I've tried the Natureegg Egg Whites from Woolies. I'm a little weirded out by an all white omelet so I always add a couple of whole eggs to the mix as well just for the yellow color (silly I know). They are a really great way to up the protein without adding a lot of fat/calories. Plus it is great for baking. I love having them and hope Woolies keeps them stocked. I've only tried the plain liquid ones though. I've noticed they have three other types (one I believe said omelet and the other I don't remember, along with powder eggs), but I haven't tried any of those. I like the versatility of the plain ones since I use them for baking as well as omelets.
