There used to be a very active low carbing Atkins community on the old AOL health and fitness message boards waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy back in the late 90's and early to mid 2000's. I was a pretty frequent visitor/contributor back then, but lost touch with the community and now it appears to have dissolved. Just wondering if any of those members made their way over here to MFP? Would love to re-connect and start up some of those great low carb discussions we had back in the day. :-)

Did you ever find any survivors?

Hi, I don't know if this group is what you are looking for, but it is an old Atkins forum that has been active for years: http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/index.php?s=09136cff656b6fd418ed1054442dfd3c
Lots of good recipes, though some ingredients are kinda old-school.

I was never a member but Atkins is how I started my low carb journey about 18 months ago. Great program! I feel so much more healthy then I did before!!

The forum supports a bunch of different LC plans, too. It's friendly and active. I read around there sometimes.
