Getting healthy and fit

Hi everyone I'm new to the myfitnesspal thing and I love it! But, I am really having difficulty getting my snacking under control and planning healthy meals for myself. My husband loves fattening food and is constantly trying to sabotage me! I really want to take my health and fitness to the next level and would love to have extra support. Feel free to add me if you need support also!

Hi Lisa,
Don't let your hubby push anything on you. Some things that might help.... Stay out of the kitchen unless you are cooking, eating or doing dishes. Leave the room when he's snacking, like in front of the TV. Tell him that you're full and don't want or need any snacks. Have carrots or celery ready to eat if he feels left out when snacking and you feel you must eat too. Plan your meals a week ahead, buy just those things that you need for those meals and stick to it. The only wiggle room is just switching what you have on what specific day.0 -
Hi Lisa
At the start I had exactly the same problem.
I put 2 glasses in plain view in the living room with one full of beads each representing a half pound adding up to the amount I want to lose. Each week I transfer 1 bead for each half a pound I have lost and now the glass with pounds lost is now fuller than the other.
When my hubby brings in food I would always have had some even if I had eaten, now I look at the glasses and say no I don't need it. Hubby works shifts so this is often late at night too.
You CAN do this, if I can with my sweet tooth too then so can you, I am now 26.2lbs down.
Add me if you want motivation as happy to help. Support on here makes all the difference plus makes you accountable.
