Hi ladies and gents,
Just wondering what you have your calories set to? Do you eat your exercise calories back? Have you gone with the suggested calorie limit, or have you made your own?
Thanks

MFP has me at 2040 and I try to eat all of them (sometimes I actually do). I really try to eat some of my exercise calories back especially if I am doing an am gym workout and Zumba in the evening. Depending on what I have eaten I am just not hungry. For example yesterday I didn't even reach my MFP let alone eat the exercise cals and I was not hungry. However, other days I am able to tap into those calories depending upon what I am eating (prepackaged foods). I would suggest following what MFP has for you. I had to rethink my activity level because I noticed I was not as active as I thought in the afternoon for a few hours.
Just my take. Good Luck!0 -
I'm at 1770, and I try and hit it, or go a little over that, or whatever my exercise calories are. It's better to eat too much healthy food imo, then not enough and fudge your metabolism and be really screwed up. I'm set for light activity, which now I may need to increase that to moderate which means more foods! Muhahaha.
I ran my BMI and TDEE and the BMI agreed with MFP on calorie rate (which sometimes it doesn't), but my TDEE says more calories. Ultimately, I don't try and worry about the calories being too high if I've eaten well (or if it's my splurge meal ), but I do try and make sure I get at least 1700 minimum, a little extra if I'm exercising that day. Doesn't always work that way, but I try.0 -
MFP has me at 1840. If I exercise I try not to eat those calories back (at least most of them).0

Mine are currently set at 2656. I started off eating 1650, but my personal trainer/nutritionist thought that was way low and upped it after she took my measurements, weight and all that jazz last month. She would like to see me increase it more, but I don't want to increase by too drastic a number too quickly and we'll likely reassess again on Wednesday (my one month assessment at the gym) as to how I'm doing and if I'm at the right range.0
