Misquoting Jesus - Bible Discrepancies

I came across these videos a little while ago. Bart Ehrman has some interesting theories about the accuracy of the New Testament. If you have read his book (which I have not yet), "Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why", then this is old news to you. All in all, I thought the videos were fascinating. The issue of how ancient documents are handed down, and their accuracy, is something which would seem to apply to many areas, and not just the Bible (something he mentioned briefly in the second video).

If you have time for a longer version which covers the above, but in more detail:

I can't use youtube at work, but it certainly sounds like an interesting book to read.
Most of the zealots I talk to feel that the Old Testament no longer applies, and the NT is the "true" bible... might have to send a few of them a copy to get their take as well.0 -
I think it is pretty lame when a believer tries to claim that the old testament doesn't count anymore. Does anyone remember when they came out in droves to try and make sure that the ten commandments were put up in a courthouse.
The ten commandments are from the old testament. :grumble:0
