Provide your stats (height/weight/age/bodyfat% if you know it/etc)
Height: 5' 5.5"
Weight: 154.4lbs
Age: 20
BF%: ~24 (OMRON handheld)
What's your current gross intake of calories, on average?
Between 1800 and 1900
What's your current average intake of protein, carbs, and fats, in grams? (GRAMS, not percent!)
MFP Goals: C203, F60 , P113
Actual Approx. Averages: C210, F80, P85
Do you use a food scale and measure everything?
Yes. And for homemade items I weigh the ingredients and count the servings.
Do you track all of your intake, daily? (Everything?)
Yes.
Do you take cheat days or days off?
I have occasional days that are high, those are usually offset by a low day though. I always try to track them to the best of my knowledge.
How much weight have you lost so far and over what time period?
I lost 8lbs in my first month on MFP at 1200 but I was too hungry so I upped to 1800 on the advice of other users and have been stalled since then (about a month and a half).
Describe your activity (exercise and non exercise) and did you change that activity within the last couple of months?
I am an English student so I spend most of my time sitting at home reading for class or sitting in class. I have been trying to start regularly lifting weights but am having trouble getting into the habit (I'm going for Tues, Thurs, Sat). I also hula hoop or jog for 20 minutes occasionally. Starting this weekend I will also be standing for 5hrs a day on Sat and Sun working a table at a farmers' market.
How long have you been stalled and if it is not a complete stall please be very specific as to how much you have lost over the stalled period.
I have been fluctuating between 153.2-156.4 landing on 154.4 most of the time for about a month and a half (since mid-March).
Are you breastfeeding?
No.
Do you have thyroid issues/risks or PCOS?
Possibly. My parents are both hypothyroid but I've never been tested. I've also had cysts and I am a little irregular but have never been checked for PCOS.
Prior to MFP I was eating very poorly with not eating very much most days and when I was eating it was fries, wings, nachos, or pizza. I feel like that probably screwed up my metabolism a bit.
I've been 150lbs since I was about 9-10 years old. I went down to 142 in my first year of post-secondary at age 18 then back up to 150 until this winter where I got up to 160 and decided that something needed to be done. The thing is I don't want to be exercising too heavily or eating too low because my husband and I are currently TTC and I don't want to hurt our chances (it's been almost 10 months).

Your diary starts 24/2/2013 and your intake was about 1,600 for the 4 weeks following.
Since then, your intake has been 2,000 for the 4 week period following that and tracking about the same since then.
At your weight, height and activity level 2,000 is actually a reasonable amount for maintenance.
I would suggest that you cut your calories back to to 1,700 and try to hit the following macros:
Protein: 120g
Fats: 70g
as minimums, The balance wherever based on preference. Note: I have given you a slightly higher fats target than usual due to the possibility of thyroid issues or PCOS - this will limit carbs which can help when people have those issues. I would suggest getting tested if possible.
I am not sure if you have seen this - but this may help with ideas to get your protein up: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/926789-protein-sources
I would also advise to start resistance training. Do you have access to a gym or to gym equipment such as dumbbells or barbells?
I would also try to increase your NEAT (non-exercise activity) as much as possible.
Please could you check back with us in a week so we can monitor how you are doing, or earlier if you have questions/concerns.0 -

A large part of the reason I started my weight loss journey was to get in good condition for carrying a baby and this morning I got some wonderful news! I won't be able to eat in a deficit for the next 9 months or so now. I truly appreciate all of the help I've gotten from everyone here and my husband and I are so happy! My new goal is to gain weight at a reasonable pace and have a healthy little baby!
Thank you so much Sara and SideSteel!0 -
