Coffee?

Just wondering, the GP I saw last told me that coffee can affect absorption and to try not drinking it or cutting it down. Def not drink it with medication. I've heard about iron and things affecting absorption and obviously taking medication on an empty stomach...not eating for an hour or 2 but never heard that coffee could affect it. It's this just more doctor fobbing me off rubbish or is it true?

I'm curious too!
I've never heard this and I am a 2 cup a day coffee drinker.
Thanks for sharing.

Only water with my pill, and I have been warned if I did drink coffee to wait the hour, and any more if possible by two different Drs (in 2 different states).
